Hello and welcome.
My name is Lew Redmond and I hope this short talk helps you take big action toward your dreams.
So many people have creative dreams.
They fantasize about writing a book,
Building a business,
Or just living a life of greater purpose.
They want to live their life fully and actualize a potential they know is within.
They don't want to live a what-if life.
What sets apart the people who live their dreams versus those who just dream?
Three words.
Now,
Not how.
In 2015,
I experienced a really profound awakening through meditation and shortly after that,
I knew I wanted to share meditation with others.
Here's what I did not do.
I didn't ask,
How am I gonna make it happen?
How will I succeed?
How will I know I'm ready?
Instead,
I just started.
I asked friends if they wanted to meditate with me.
I guided them and they would tell me how it was.
I took notes.
I asked more friends and I tried again.
I would record myself.
I listened.
I practiced and I got better.
I learned through experience.
Taking action on teaching meditation built massive momentum.
It's how I was able to upload my meditations online as early as 2016 and start to build an audience,
Start to grow the things that I was doing in the world.
I really owe my success to the principle of now,
Not how,
Which I owe to Noah Kagan from his book Million Dollar Weekend.
This concept applies to more than just business.
Maybe you're single and you know someone you want to engage for a date.
Instead of second-guessing or asking questions,
Just act now,
Not how.
Maybe it's in athletics or working out.
Instead of waking up early and seeing that it's cold and windy and you'd rather not run,
You may be asking,
How am I gonna get through this workout?
Just get your shoes on,
Get out the door.
Now,
Not how.
If you struggle with the unknown,
This concept can help you get out of your head and into momentum.
We can't plan everything.
We can't know how we're going to feel down the road.
Sometimes we just need to take action now without waiting for something.
Caveat.
I hear the rebuttal to this.
I know some of you may think this is brash or uncalculated.
I understand.
Please take this as you would take anything with conscious awareness to the particulars of your situation.
Not everything necessitates action without questions.
Some things do need time to inquire and allow unfoldment.
I believe most inner work coaching or therapy is an example of this.
So take this mantra and use it in a way that helps you get out of your head and into action.
Maybe consider,
Where are you paralyzed by how?
Where are you stuck?
Where in your life can you take action now?
Know that I am rooting for you.
Thanks so much for listening.
I hope this was helpful.
Please let me know by leaving a comment.
I love hearing from you and I look forward to connecting with you on another talk very soon.
And if you found this talk supportive,
I think you will love my course,

It will give you some energy to start taking that action and integrate these things into your day.
So you can check that out on my profile page in the courses tab and I look forward to seeing you there.
Take care.
