Hello,
I'm Lisa Abramson and welcome back.
Today we're going to do a practice to help you transform and release failure.
So gently closing your eyes or softening your gaze.
Coming out of your head and starting to feel into your body.
Even just thinking of failure or a recent mistake,
Something that hasn't gone your way.
You might notice some tightness and tension in your body.
Maybe your neck becomes stiff or you have tightness across the shoulders.
Or gripping in your stomach.
Just notice what comes up for you and what sensations you feel in your body.
Do you feel tightness or clenching?
Something pokey or jabby?
Is it hot or cold?
Pulsating or gripping?
Just bring your attention into a spot in the body.
Where you feel these sensations most strongly.
Any tightness or discomfort as you begin to think about failure.
Just settling in on one spot in the body where the sensations are strong.
And then turning towards this discomfort and acknowledging it.
Thanking it for being here.
For trying to protect you.
For trying to get your attention and keep you safe.
Acknowledge those sensations in your body.
And then remind them and remind your body,
I'm safe now.
Letting your belly be loose and soft.
And then just allowing all those little bits to just release.
Imagine they can just float away and begin to let go of any tension or tightness.
Just imagining all the little bits of tension being able to release.
And then feeling into all of the space that surrounds your body.
Just beyond your skin.
Feeling into the openness.
Feeling into the potential.
The opportunity,
The possibility.
Just feeling into the space that surrounds you.
A vast openness around you.
Doing this not with your mind but with your felt sense.
Letting yourself open up into the space that surrounds you.
Breathing into the space that surrounds you.
And then seeing if you can find any pockets of spaciousness in your body.
Any pockets of spaciousness in your body.
Perhaps between the toes.
At the back of the knees.
Underneath the jaw.
Inside your lungs.
At the tips of your fingers.
And feeling into the space between the cells in your body.
And all the spaciousness within the cells in your body.
Finding that same spaciousness that surrounded you.
Finding those same qualities within you.
And then imagining a person that you love dearly.
Someone where it's very easy to feel love and tenderness towards them.
Could be someone in your life or someone who's no longer with you.
Or even a beloved pet.
And just imagine love flowing towards them.
Just imagining that loved one can hold up a mirror and reflect back that kindness and care.
Letting that self-love fill up all of those spaces in your body.
The feelings of caring and tenderness.
Feelings of caring and tenderness.
Letting that care and compassion wash all over your body.
Those places that were once tight with tension and fear.
And a sense of failure can be transformed into openness.
And into self-love and compassion.
Feeling in once again to that spaciousness that surrounds you.
Feeling into all of that openness and potential.
And then finding that same spaciousness within.
And then filling that spaciousness with love and compassion.
The same way you'd feel towards that loved one.
Bringing that back into yourself.
Into every cell.
Infusing your whole being.
Enjoying the feelings that you've created.
Letting the belly be soft and loose.
Wiggling your fingers and your toes.
And when you're ready you can gently open your eyes.
