This brief meditation will help you recenter and shift into gratitude, to more deeply appreciate what's going well in your life. So many of us can get caught in the "busy trap" and are moving so quickly from one thing to the next, that we forget to pause and celebrate all that we can be appreciative for. This meditation will help you savor the good and fill your heart with joy.

If you haven't already,

Please take a comfortable seated position,

Allowing your eyes to gently close.

Select on one thing that went well yesterday.

Did you make someone laugh?

Did you bring a smile to someone's face?

Stick to your workout regimen?

Eat a healthy meal?

Send words of encouragement to a friend?

Bring one specific action to your mind.

What images come to your mind as you recall this moment?

How do you feel recalling this moment?

Is there a scent or a color that comes to your mind?

Bringing your hands to your heart,

Bring in a sense of appreciation for your kind act or accomplishment.

As you replay the moment,

This thing that went well yesterday,

Imagining it in your head,

Picturing the situation completely.

Let this sense of appreciation flood your body as you appreciate yourself in the beauty of the moment.

Just noticing the sensations in your body.

Feeling how it feels in your body as you recall this moment,

The achievement or the kind gesture.

Appreciating yourself for spreading positivity,

Showing up as your best self.

Appreciate yourself for taking a moment for you,

A moment to reflect and appreciate what was done well,

The ways in which you're shining your light.

Just letting this sense of appreciation flood your body.

Appreciating yourself,

Appreciating the beauty of the moment.

And now notice the sounds in the room,

And when you're ready,

Gently open your eyes.

A reminder about a special family day. Making my grandson smile. The smells of a home cooked meal I made for my family. The laughter. The silliness. The gratitude of having such beautiful people in my life. This was the best 5 minutes of the day.
