The weather outside when it's snowy can feel cold,

But it is a beautiful sight.

And today,

We are going to embrace the cold,

The snow,

In order to slow down and find a little clarity within our day.

So let's begin by finding a comfortable position,

Either laying down or sitting up,

Whatever works for you.

Take a nice long slow inhale in through the nose,

And as you exhale,

Close your eyes.

Take another nice long slow inhale in through the nose,

And sigh it out of your mouth.

And now just continue to breathe in through the nose,

And out through the nose,

Finding your rhythm,

With each exhale allowing yourself to feel more relaxed,

And just being present in the space you're in.

One breath at a time.

Now picture yourself heading outside,

And in front of you is a peaceful snowy open field.

Imagine a vast,

Expansive,

Fresh,

White snow stretching right before you.

The sky is soft,

Pale blue,

And the air is crisp and clean,

And it's quiet.

And as you walk,

Imagine the sensation of the snow under your feet.

Feel its softness,

And the gentle give as you press down.

Notice how the snowflakes look as they fall around you,

Each one unique and intricate.

See them glinting in the sunlight,

Like tiny diamonds scattered across the ground.

And as you continue to walk in this beautiful,

Snowy world,

Notice the hush that envelops everything.

The normal chaos that we're constantly surrounded by,

From everything around us,

And everyone around us.

Those usual sounds are muffled,

And in this moment,

It's quiet,

Creating a blanket of tranquility.

Listen to the soft whispers of the wind,

And the distant sound of a world slowed down by the snow.

As you continue to walk,

You feel the crisp,

Cold air on your skin.

It's refreshing,

And invigorating.

It's bringing a sense of clarity and calmness to your mind.

As you continue to breathe in and out,

Allowing that clarity to settle in,

The only sound you hear are your footsteps,

A gentle rhythm pressing into the snow.

With each step,

Feel a connection to the earth,

A sense of peace and stillness.

The snow-covered trees stand tall and serene,

Reminding you of your inner strength,

And all that you can accomplish when you slow down and allow yourself to listen to what you need.

Looking around at the snow's purity,

How it covers everything in a blanket of white,

Offering a fresh start,

A blank canvas.

Let this idea of new beginnings and purity resonate with you,

Clearing your mind of worries and stress,

Taking this moment for you to embrace the stillness.

Let the quiet and the peace of this beautiful landscape fill you,

Providing a sense of renewal and calm.

Allow yourself to take one more look around,

Feeling in your body the presence of stillness,

The clarity,

The calm,

And the quiet,

The rare moments of quiet.

When you're ready,

Slowly bring your awareness back to yourself and the room you're in,

And just notice it,

And notice your body within it.

Take a nice long slow inhale in through the nose,

And sigh it out through the mouth,

Holding on to this sense of peace and calm with you as you become aware of your body,

Wiggling your fingers,

Wiggling your toes,

And when you're ready,

And there is no rush,

Open your eyes gently,

And allow this feeling to carry on with you throughout your day.

Thank you for meditating with me.

I live in Australia and right now it’s stinking hot here. This beautiful winter visualisation allowed me to actually cool down. Thank you.
