Welcome to this guided sleep meditation called Seaside Fairies.
Let's begin in your bedroom and squeeze your pillow for a new dream to begin.
Then settle into bed please.
Open your hands,
Fingers and all your toes saying goodbye to this day and off with the fairies and the seaside awaits.
So close one eye for the fairies and close the next eye for the seaside.
Now curl up into a ball tying to shrink to small and your earth body can go to sleep.
It is your heart that is light as the fairy you see and connects you to them.
First they shall bring you a shell.
The sound of the sea can be heard through a seashell.
Anyway time to concentrate.
Think fairies,
Think tiny and light and flying so fast.
The first fairy friend brings the seashell onto your pillow.
The magic begins when you decide what color is the seashell and how this fairy friend appears.
Have 10 seconds now please.
Did you know fairies know lots of things that are true.
Being so tiny they can see all the detail in this big beautiful world.
It's time to think of flying too yourself and a suitcase for the seaside will be needed pretty soon.
Remember your heart is as light as a fairy so breathe into your amazing heart.
Feel the wings that keep it so light.
Then see a tiny version of yourself cutting on these amazing wings.
Breathe with lightness and excitement.
Ready to fly up and get looking for that suitcase.
The bedroom fills with such lightness and how big everything looks when so tiny.
Walking on air just like a fairy does.
Using lots of magic now summon your suitcase onto your bed and invite politely for your fairy friend to bring in more fairies to help pack your bags for the seaside.
You will always see a lot when you are as small as them.
They are clever in that everything they see has something to tell them that is true.
And so they talk a lot and now it's all about the English seaside.
So as you pack your bags listen to their stories that are true.
First thing is true that no one in England lives more than 80 miles from the sea.
But there is a coastline all around this country.
Although England is small compared to many places in the world.
What is true is 80% of the entire world sea canots can be found around its shores.
And 40% of the world's grey seals are here too.
Put your ear to the seashell to hear the seabird gannet.
Exciting especially waking up on a seaside morning.
Even seals like to talk.
Can you remember how they sound?
Now a flying fairy visit to the seaside is quite colourful.
For there are over 1,
000 little islands that the fairies can show you.
And only 300 of them are occupied by plants and animals that have adapted to the harsh conditions.
Now the seaside comes with powerful tides that create whirlpools that help cycle nutrients into the sea.
And so the coastline will continue to change.
Even small water ripples will reshape it over time.
So later when you put your toes into that sea,
Think what it really does each time you visit.
I hope you are still packing your bag as you listen.
You can enjoy many seaside piers made for holiday makers.
The first pier was built in 1814 in the Isle of Wight.
So it all began 200 years ago.
And the fairies would have been amongst all that magical building.
The fun and excitement of going to the seaside became very popular.
And so there are now 70 seaside piers in England.
And it would be so nice to see them all one by one.
One is famous,
The Southend Pier,
For it is the longest pleasure pier in the world.
Seaside entertainment is all about Sunday days,
Swimming,
Theatre,
Cinemas and live performances,
Eating fish and ice cream,
If you please.
And a place called Scarborough Spa is home to the last seaside orchestra,
For music is so enjoyable outside in the sun and the sea breeze.
With all the seaside places,
Comes the famous lighthouses,
So tall and proud,
Shining through the night,
That keep all the ships and boats safe at sea.
With Bishop Rock and Eddystone being the tallest,
And Flamborough Head being the oldest pier in England.
Now the sand from the beaches can be used to make glass.
So you're never far from the sandy shore.
Whenever you drink a glass of water,
You can think of the sand.
Lastly,
This is also true.
The Yorkshire Coast is known as the Dinosaur Coast,
With many fossils found.
One fossil,
Nicknamed Alan,
Found by Alan Gurr,
Is estimated to be about 176 million years old,
Dating back to the middle Jurassic period.
This makes it the earliest known body fossil of a sauropod dinosaur in England.
Breathe into all that magic that the seaside shall bring,
For fairies know a lot about this world.
It's time to truly enjoy an adventure now.
The fairies are truly ready to take you to the seaside.
With your suitcase,
Shrink to fairy size.
Laugh and smile,
And off you go,
Flying together all the way.
Heading for salty air,
Breezy sea waves,
And sand in your toes.
Walking on air,
And adventure with fairies.
Sea birds are calling too.
They're wishing you well,
Waving goodbye to all of you.
