Gently allowing your eyes to shut and focusing on breathing and breath.

Becoming aware of where breath starts in the body and what parts of the body move and resonate with each in and out breath.

And just setting a small intention now that with each in breath you're breathing in relaxation.

And that with each out breath you're releasing any tension.

Breathing in relaxation and breathing out any tension.

And I'd like for you now to imagine that you are in a forest.

It's green and lush.

It smells amazing.

And you're standing on the forest floor.

Surrounded by ferns and shrubs and grasses and moss.

And the tallest,

Widest trees you've ever seen.

Reaching up and up and up into the sky as far as the eye can see.

This place is incredible.

The smells are amazing.

It smells like life force energy.

Verdant and visceral.

It's as though the colour and the sound have been turned up in this space.

Everywhere you look you see life.

You feel life.

You're here by yourself.

There's nobody else to trouble you or bother you.

And this place oozes calm and tranquility.

You just stand there listening and looking.

Tuning into your environment.

Mindfully noticing everything around you.

It's an incredible experience.

The trees are so tall that it's quite shady and shadowy down on the forest floor.

But as a light breeze blows through the canopy of leaves above.

The leaves move.

And light jumps and dances across the floor of the forest.

It's like being inside a kaleidoscope with millions and trillions of diamond shapes.

Reflecting off the floor of the forest.

Dancing on the bark of the trees.

It's beautiful.

It's a warm day.

But there's not a lot of breeze that reaches the forest floor.

And you decide to walk on to explore more.

To see what else this place has to offer.

And you walk along with your hands stretched out touching all that you can as you move.

And there's no actual path.

You're just walking where it feels most right to.

Where you're creating the least amount of damage to flora around.

You walk up to one of the largest trees that you've seen so far.

You stretch your arms wide.

And try to wrap them around the tree.

But its girth is huge and there is no way that your fingertips will reach.

But as you're holding on to this tree.

You tilt your head back and arch your back and look all the way up the tree.

It's incredible.

It's very straight and very tall.

It feels ancient and wise.

And it is as though knowledge is emanating from the tree itself.

And whilst you're standing there hugging this tree.

You rest your face against its bark and feel it against you.

And you offer up any single worry and concern that may be taking space within you.

The tree then takes that energy and transmutes and grounds it.

And it feels wonderful to have the opportunity to unburden.

That's it,

Just letting it all go.

Thanking the tree.

Stepping away from the tree and then walking on.

There's something about this forest that makes you feel happy and whole.

A feeling of nurturing.

Of creating space and stillness within.

Offering an incredible opportunity to work on inner feelings and inner thoughts.

The space to process them.

To work through them.

Some of the trunks of the trees,

Their bark almost looks like dragon scales.

It's incredible.

Each tree is unique.

No two are identical.

Some of these trees may have been here for hundreds of years.

It's even more amazing,

This place,

When you realize that.

What they've witnessed.

How the world has changed since they have been growing.

This place is just so soothing.

It almost feels as though it's nurturing the soul.

And you keep walking and moving through the forest,

Taking everything in.

The shapes of the leaves.

Some are glossy and some are matte.

Some have spots and some have slightly feathered patterns on them.

Such a variety of differentness.

Yet somehow it all fits together and works together so beautifully.

An artwork put together by nature.

But it's not just the visual beauty of this place.

It's how it makes you feel inside.

Relaxed.

Centered.

And somehow essential.

As you walk along,

You come to a clearing.

And as you step into the clearing,

You can once again feel the sun on your head and shoulders.

And that feels wonderful after being in the shade for a while.

And this clearing has been created by two trees that have fallen and knocked into others.

And weirdly enough,

This clearing is almost a circle.

And even with these huge trees lying on their sides,

They are still taller than the average person.

They're huge.

You're able to climb up from the roots onto one of the trees and walk along it to get a different vantage point of the forest.

And even though these trees have fallen,

They still fuel and feed the forest.

They provide homes for little critters and creatures.

Some of the trees have moss and fungi growing on them.

And others are slowly rotting and decomposing and going back and back into the earth.

But whether they are upright or lying on their side,

They still play an important part in the role of the ecosystem of this forest.

The sun is extraordinary.

And you sit there atop one of the felled trees.

Close your eyes and just feel the sun soothing your energy.

Taking you deeper and deeper down now.

More and more relaxed.

Feeling safe and calm.

And somehow an incredible feeling of healing comes over you.

Old hurts and wounds seem completely irrelevant in this time and space.

And you allow those to melt away.

Just not needed right now.

Not wanted.

This time is about you releasing anxiety.

Releasing worry or depression.

Allowing your energy to feel buoyant and uplifted and happy.

Really reveling in this feeling.

Allowing the sun to infuse your energy.

And through your eyelids you sense yellows and oranges and reds from the sun.

And it feels as though you're being wrapped in a cocoon of warmth.

Of healing,

Of empathy and love.

Deeply vibrating throughout your energy.

Vibrating out old negativities.

Replacing them with joy and love and nurture.

Nurturing,

Soothing energy at such a deep core level.

The past feels wholly unimportant in this moment.

Nothing matters but the sun on your body.

The feel of the trees bark beneath you.

The earthy,

Rich aroma that wraps around you,

Filling your nostrils.

It's a good day to be alive.

It's a great day to experience this.

And your energy is buoyant and overflowing.

You feel light and happy and enthused.

This place feels as though it has a magical quality.

And its magic is rubbing off on you.

Everything feels better with the sun on your body.

And you lay down now along the tree.

Feeling the bark beneath your fingers.

Sensing the tree beneath you.

Tuning into the energy of the plants and the shrubs and the other trees still standing tall.

Calling them into your energy.

Allowing them to help you to feel whole and healed.

This place is extraordinary.

And you can bring yourself back here at any time.

At any time when you feel in need of healing.

Or some time out.

Or just to get away from life.

You can do so so easily by imagining this incredible,

Sacred forest space.

It's yours and yours alone.

Nobody else can visit here without your permission.

So sitting back up now.

Thanking the forest.

Its incredible energy.

How it's made you feel.

The deep,

Deep thought processes that it's put you in front of.

Saying your farewells for now.

Feeling incredible,

So much lighter.

And in a moment we're going to leave this place.

I'm going to count from one to five.

And at five you'll be wide,

Wide awake.

Refreshed,

Alert.

Completely back in the room feeling wonderful.

So one,

Just giving those toes a bit of a wriggle now.

That's right,

Lovely.

Two,

Being able to move the legs and bend the knees.

Three,

Giving the fingers a bit of a wriggle.

That's it.

Four,

Feeling a big stretch coming on with the arms now.

Five,

Eyes wide open.

Wide,

Wide awake.

Refreshed,

Alert.

And completely back in the room.
