Begin now by adopting your favourite meditating pose and link into your breathing.
Become aware of the movement of your body as you breathe in and out.
Become aware of how each breath takes you deeper and deeper down now,
Deeper and deeper down.
Imagine now that you are standing atop a huge range of sand dunes that lead down to a beautiful private beach.
It's so very windy here and the wind whips the sand around so quickly that it stings against your skin and face.
It's almost impossible to open your eyes without them getting scratched and wounded by the fierce grains of sand.
So you stand there,
Not moving,
Being in the moment,
Letting the enormity of it fill your energy.
Standing there in the eye of the sandstorm,
Immobilized by the ferocity of the wind and the power that it gives the sand.
The sound of the wind fills your ears making it hard to think or concentrate.
It's loud and whining and the sound feels as though that it's taking up all of the space in your brain.
This sandstorm mirrors how you often feel inside when you feel anxious or stressed or overwhelmed or even out of control or when you just don't know how to deal with emotions that are pouring forth from inside.
You sit down right where you are and you pull a jacket over your head and you hunker down to weather the storm.
You start by looking at your breathing,
Taking deep measured breaths,
Allowing each breath to quieten your energy,
To ground your energy into your body.
Within a few minutes your heart stops racing,
Your heartbeat begins to regulate,
Your pulse is back to normal and your physiology is responding to your calm and gentle feelings toward yourself.
You are actively changing your mood,
Your energetic state in the middle of a storm while seated atop a sand mountain.
As you calm and quell your energy,
The storm around you begins to abate.
The violent wind dies down,
The noise of the wind no longer fills your ears and you can hear again.
You gently stand and as the sand stops moving and the wind calms down,
You look out at an incredible vista.
The sand dunes hide the beach from view but as the crazy weather calms,
You see that the mountains of sand lead onto a flat golden sandy beach and it continues to go on and on into the distance.
You walk down the side of the sand mountain,
Feeling the sand shift under your feet,
Slowly and gingerly and before you know it you're standing on the firmly packed damp sand of the foreshore.
What a view!
The waves are rolling in and out,
Crashing into the beach and it's hard to tell where the sky stops and the ocean begins.
You take a deep breath in,
Filling your lungs with fresh salty air.
And you exhale loudly,
Liberating some of the tension built up due to the storm.
Standing here on this remote area of beach,
You know that it's time to go within,
To heal.
And in order to do that,
You need to face your own inner sandstorm.
Your feelings and emotions are still getting the better of you,
Still controlling you and causing you unrest in your energy.
But standing here on this calming beautiful beach,
It can be difficult to remember being in the eye of the storm.
Every time that you feel anxious or worried or out of control or overwhelmed,
You create blockages in your body and energetic system,
Which block your life force energy or chi from moving freely throughout your system in order to support you.
When there are blockages,
You don't thrive as you could.
You stop thriving and you move into only surviving.
And today you're going to move from survival mode into thriving mode.
You're going to align yourself and your energy to your highest and greatest good,
So that you can be all that you've ever dreamed of being.
It's time to free yourself from thoughts and emotions that no longer serve you.
Time to let go.
Time to thrive,
Not just stay alive,
But to live and love the life that you have.
It's time to be in charge.
Time to own how you think,
How you feel and how you communicate.
And time to orient your life in a positive self-affirming direction,
Where you are in control.
Where you feel great about who you are and where you are proud of all that you do.
You walk along the golden beach for a while,
Taking everything into your energy.
And you make your way back to where the shoreline meets the base of a dune.
And you sit down and nestle in,
Feeling the support of the sand all around you.
As you sit there,
Looking out at this incredible view,
Your mind wanders to how you've been feeling and existing lately.
Tuning into all that's been brewing from deep within.
You know that change is needed.
You're ready to let go of feelings and emotions that are no longer serving you.
To uncover that which is not working and to highlight,
Nurture and support that which is.
You sift the sand through your fingers,
Gathering a little pile of shells as you do so.
The shells that you have uncovered are going to be used to release trapped,
Undesirable issues.
From your life,
Anything that is no longer serving you.
So take some time now to identify that which is not working.
Attitudes or acquaintances that may hinder or harm anything that no longer belongs in your energy.
And take a shell now and name it.
Say in your mind something along the lines of,
This shell represents any feelings of anxiety that I've ever had.
And when you've identified what you need to release,
Anxiety in this example,
Spend a few moments thinking of all of the ways that feeling anxiety in all things,
In all aspects of your life has impacted your life in a negative way.
Then hold the shell to your third eye.
The space in between both of your eyebrows above your nose.
And download all of the energy relating to any anxiety issues currently residing in you into the shell.
Let it pour forth from your body.
Fill the shell.
Let it take from you all that you're prepared to give.
Sense the shell glow as it's uploaded.
And once the shell is fully imbued with any and all anxiety issues,
Once it is glowed and filled,
You're ready then to throw it into the mountain of sand.
The best throw that you can manage.
Hurl it into the air,
Away from your body,
Away from your energy and your spirit.
And as you do this,
Watch the shell hit the sand and disappear.
Engulfed and buried.
And feel the energy of anxiety being released from your body.
Being released from your mind.
Your body and your energy being completely drained of all anxiety.
The shell is deep within the sand now.
It's gone for good.
It's out of sight.
It's out of mind.
No longer a part of your energy.
Because deep inside you know that you have offered anxiety up once and for all.
Anxiety can no longer influence you in the same way.
Anxiety no longer has any control over you.
You are free of anxiety.
There are shells that embody feelings of panic,
Lacking of confidence and self-worth,
And perhaps even ideas or thoughts that no longer benefit you.
The biggest of those is releasing overwhelm.
Knowing that if the feelings,
Thoughts and emotions surrounding overwhelm were vital,
Nurturing,
Real or true or life-sustaining,
That everyone,
All people would also suffer from this.
This however is not the case.
You know this and you are ready to release overwhelmed tendencies from your energy.
So that they can no longer affect you again.
So pick up another shell.
Hold it to your third eye.
Now anything within you that's linked to feeling overwhelmed and any behaviours that support this to be transferred into the shell.
Really feel the shell.
Search your whole being and remove all links no matter how tenuous,
From your energy.
It's time for it to go today.
Sense the shell glow as it is uploaded with anything within your energy to do with overwhelm.
Fill it to the brim.
Leave nothing within you.
Offer up all of its associations.
Drain your energy of all overwhelm related issues.
They are gone.
Gone for good.
Now take the shell and once again hurl it into the mountain of sand.
Free yourself of overwhelm now.
Watch the shell disappear.
Buried under tons of sand never to be seen again.
Gone.
Disappeared.
No longer a part of your energy.
You can safely free yourself.
Forgive and forget and allow your energy to regroup.
So take some time now to comb through your energy to further free yourself of any other qualities or characteristics that no longer serve you,
Your mind,
Your body,
Or your spirit.
And hurl them into the sand.
And I'll be quiet for a few moments to allow you to relax.
And I'll be quiet for a few moments to allow you to do this.
Lovely.
Well done.
Now fill your body with color.
A color that is going to backfill any areas where negativity is being removed.
Any color that feels right for your energy.
Let the color be vivid and bright.
Let it infuse you and wrap around you.
Let the color embed and resonate throughout your energy.
Feel that happen.
Know that color is working through you now.
The sun is gently setting.
The water sparkles in the dusk light.
The waves ebb and flow.
Washing away the old so that the new may grow.
Your body is relaxed.
Your thoughts and feelings are positive.
And mellow.
Your energy is free of negativity.
And you're learning how to let go and release that which is not wanted or needed from your energy.
So just enjoy this feeling for a few more moments.
Allow that color to work through your system.
Breathe that color in.
Sense it flowing through your bloodstream.
And just leave the color there.
It knows what to do.
It knows how to heal.
And in a moment I'm going to count from one to five and bring you back to the here and now.
Having released that which you need to release.
Knowing that you can do the same thing by yourself as many times as you need to.
Releasing qualities or characteristics that you need to release.
That no longer serve you.
That no longer offer you any benefit.
One.
Just giving the toes a bit of a wriggle now.
That's it.
Two.
Bending the knees and moving the legs.
Three.
Giving the fingers a bit of a wriggle.
Four.
Feeling a big stretch coming on.
Five.
Eyes wide open.
Wide wide awake.
Refreshed.
Alert.
And completely back in the room.
