Welcome to the Rose Heart Meditation.
Allow yourself some time now to get comfortable,
To rest the body,
To find whatever position is the most supportive for you in this moment that might be lying down,
Seated,
With support,
Or on a chair with your feet flat on the ground.
Whatever way is going to feel the most comfortable for you,
Embrace that now,
Ready for your journey.
Now take some time to let the body start to sink and settle into the supportive cocoon that you have created.
Let the whole body start to feel as though it is releasing and relaxing into a supportive position.
Now start to focus on your breath,
Drawing your attention from the external into the internal world of yourself.
The breath,
Breathing in,
Breathing out,
And watching as a curious witness as the breath traces its path through the body.
Each breath a wave,
Each breath a wash of cleansing,
Renewing energy.
Breathing in to welcome in everything you need,
All the replenishment that you need,
And breathing out to let go of any feelings of tension,
Any stagnation.
Follow the breath for a few cycles and just watch the way that it moves around your body.
Watch for any parts of you that may be holding on and watch for any parts of you that may crave the breath to reach inside a little deeper.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Breathe in and breathe out.
You'll start to bring your awareness into the physical body,
Into the whole body,
Into the physical body,
Into the whole body,
Feeling the whole body supported by the surface you're resting on and just invite the body to let go a fraction more so there's no need to brace or hold on.
Feel the body sigh with relief as you let it know that it doesn't need to brace anymore.
Now bring your attention to the crown of your head and start to sweep your attention with my words down the body,
Bringing love and tenderness and a sense of relaxation to every part of the body that I mention.
Letting this wash of relaxation pour over the crown of the head into the back of the eyes,
Down into the cheekbones,
The jaw,
Into the back of the mouth,
The throat,
Down the neck,
Down the neck,
Into the shoulders,
Into the chest,
Down both of your arms,
Into the fingertips.
Letting this wash of relaxation move from the collarbones down through the rib cage around your heart space,
Down through the navel,
The solar plexus,
Into the abdomen,
Allowing this wash of relaxation to circulate around all the organs in your abdomen,
Into your lower back,
Down into your hips,
Into your pelvis,
Into your womb space,
Into both thighs,
Into the knees,
Moving this relaxation down the shins,
Into the ankles,
To the tops of the feet,
The soles of the the soles of the feet and then all 10 toes.
Feel this wash of relaxation cleansing and restoring every aching bone,
Every tight muscle,
Every part of you that feels a little raw,
A little tender and just allow the body to rest now.
And in this restful state I invite you now to imagine yourself in a beautiful walled garden.
As far as you can see around you there are beautiful multi-coloured rose bushes,
All with an abundance of flowers.
In front of you you can see a rose bush bursting with bright red roses.
Some are in tight buds and some are in full bloom.
All are at a different stage of their journey and yet all are equally exquisite.
One particular red rose bud now catches your eye,
Its petals are still tightly folded over one another.
You reach out and carefully pick this rose bud from the bush and bring the flower close to your heart space,
Welcoming it tenderly and lovingly to the front of your chest.
This rose bud is represented by a rose bud is representative of the beautiful fragile yet fierce heart space energy that resides within your chest.
As you look at the rose bud you can see that there are some dead leaves and some withered petals that no longer need to cling on to the rose of your heart.
Carefully you can start to prune these parts away.
These represent the things that no longer serve you,
The beliefs,
The expectations,
The heaviness that might be weighing on your heart.
All of these can be gently pruned and cleared to create space for more love and more nourishment.
Take some time now to watch as these old parts fall to the ground ready to be reused by the earth as a fertilizer and to be nourishment for the next cycle of life.
Now with the old debris now removed you can see that the tight rose bud has started to slowly open.
The weight of the old has made way for the new and one by one.
You see the petals begin to open.
Each silken red rose petal gently unfolds from its tight grip and shows the full beauty and power of its unique individual pattern.
You watch in amazement as this blossoming open unfolds before your eyes and as you do this you can feel your heart becoming more and more alive.
A lightness,
An expansiveness,
A connection to the full expression of you,
The you that you know you truly are.
The rose of your heart is now in full bloom.
There is so much beauty in its fullness and its wholeness.
Imagine now that you are planting this fully flowering rose into the center of your chest to place it within your heart chakra so that it can radiate love,
Compassion and beauty into your entire being and beyond.
And now allow yourself to rest here with the essence of this rose fully embedding into your heart and your soul letting the power of this loving energy replenish your entire being.
So so so It is now time to leave this walled garden knowing that you have a sacred piece of it within you to bring you back to this healing place at any time.
You are returning with this gift that is forever imparted on your heart.
You are returning with this wholeness.
I see her petals the bright red rose.
She reminds me of my beauty.
She blossoms in her own sweet time without the fear of being left behind.
Her petals unfold and create a new world an expression that was never seen before.
She does not fear being different at all.
Her uniqueness is her superpower.
The bright red rose reflects in me the patterns of mother earth,
Of death and rebirth,
Of cycles and seasons,
The power in change and transformation.
I need not fear the great unknown when her magic is held within me.
We are all divine creative beings a mirror of mother nature's beauty.
So start to gently bring yourself back to this space noticing the sounds around you,
The sensations in your body,
The sound of your breath and start to sip in those deeper cleansing breaths bringing more and more energy into the body with every inhale and every exhale so you start to re-awaken.
Now take a moment just to wiggle through fingertips and toes perhaps take a stretch,
A yawn and do whatever you need to to bring the body back now to ground yourself back in this physical presence and take with you this beautiful red rose.
Keep it safely in your heart space and know that it supports you on your onward journey.
