Hey there,
This is Jen with Laughing Lotus Wellness.
Welcome to our meditation practice.
So welcome into our meditation for the day.
For the mind-body connection.
And I invite you to just begin to deepen the breath,
Find a relaxing position.
It can be either seated,
Lying down.
If you're seated,
I encourage a nice tall spine for the breath to move freely.
And I invite you to close your eyes or soften your gaze.
So you choose whatever's comfortable and feels safest to you.
The more that we bring our senses inward and block things out,
The more deeply we can experience our meditation and peace and stillness.
And today that's going to be extra important because we're going to be taking a look at how our mind and body connection looks.
And we're going to be pulling the breath into that as well.
And so this is a day of exploration.
So I invite you to imagine that you're getting prepared for like maybe a hike or some other adventure that you would take.
And you're getting prepared to just put on a different lens to look through.
And so beginning to deepen the breath,
Beginning to just really tap into that physical exercise of the breath,
Meaning paying attention where the breath is in the body as we begin our journey.
And we'll also begin our journey today by releasing some of the layers of our being so that we can really tap into the very centermost part of who we are.
And so first becoming deeply aware of the state of your mind.
Being deeply aware of the state of your mind.
Just noticing what the state of your mind is.
And just releasing that,
Taking a moment to notice without judgment all of the places that I call out without any judgment.
We just want to show up and bring awareness to it.
And also bring awareness to the physical body.
How is the physical body showing up today?
So pausing to scan from head to toe for a moment without any judgment,
Just noticing what is.
How is the physical body showing up?
And then releasing that layer and beginning to tap into the emotion layer of our being.
What emotions do you notice?
What is showing up for you?
And as we release those layers of awareness,
As we release those we're going to go deeper yet into the intuition.
The senses beyond our thoughts and just spending a moment just noticing the intuition.
What is present in the intuition today?
And always returning to that breath.
Watching to see the quality of the breath.
Without judgment or criticism just noticing as the quality of the breath flew in easy or halting or holding.
And having released these layers of our being,
We're going to move more deeply yet into the connection of something that's bigger than all of us.
A universal life force.
The very sweetest light and bliss part of who you are.
The place of bliss.
Removing those layers allows us to go more deeply into our highest self.
The version of us without the layers.
And as we begin our journey today,
We begin with setting the tone of the practice.
And we do that here with an intention or sankopa.
Create your own or you plant the seed of this thought using my words as your words if they resonate.

We're going to begin our journey by bringing the breath of awareness to the right thumb.
Second finger,
Third finger,
Fourth finger,
And fifth finger.
Bring the breath now to the palm and the whole right hand,
The whole right hand.
Pay special attention to the spaces where the fingers meet the hand.
Light of awareness and breath where the fingers meet the hand.
Breathing there right into that space.
And now placing the breath in the left thumb,
Second finger,
Third finger,
Fourth finger,
And fifth finger,
And bringing the breath to the palm and the whole left hand,
The whole left hand.
Exploring the spaces where the fingers meet the hand.
Breathing into the spaces where the fingers meet the hand.
Breathing in this moment,
Bringing the breath to the right wrist,
Elbow,
Armpit,
And shoulder.
Healing light of awareness and breath in the whole right arm,
The whole right arm.
Bringing the breath to the spaces where the arm meets the shoulder.
Healing light of awareness and breath where the arm meets the shoulder.
Downtaking the breath and placing it in the left wrist,
Elbow,
Armpit,
And shoulder.
Healing light of awareness and breath in the whole left arm,
The whole left arm.
Bringing the breath to the space where the arm meets the shoulder.
Light of awareness and breath where the arm meets the shoulder.
Exploring the breath and energy that is moving from the shoulders as it travels upward and into the throat,
Mouth,
Cheeks,
Jaw,
Eyes,
Forehead,
All the way into the crown of the head.
Light of awareness and breath moving into the face and the crown.
Bringing the breath to the very top of the crown,
The space at the top of the crown.
Noticing that the breath and energy is swirling in that head space,
Maybe sensing a vibration or tingling or feathering of energy in the head as the healing energy and breath moves and fills the whole head.
The whole head filled with the healing light of awareness of the breath.
Bringing the exploration of awareness to where the head and neck meet the shoulders.
Placing the awareness and breath where that space of the neck and the shoulders meet,
Breathing into that space.
And now that energy and breath shift once again and flows down into the chest.
I see the awareness and breath in the chest and the heart space.
Really exploring the whole chest and heart space with the breath,
Calling the breath to the right side of the chest and then the left side of the chest.
Right side of the chest and left side of the chest,
Breathing into the whole chest,
Pausing to explore the space in the chest using the breath.
And now bringing the light of awareness and breath to the heart space,
The sweet heart space,
Imagining you can sense the internal chamber of the heart as it beats,
Staying with this for a few moments as you pull the breath right into the heart space.
And you can breathe in and out through the heart space,
Allowing the breath to expand the heart as you breathe,
Sensing the space in the heart and the chambers as they expand for the breath.
Breathing down into the torso and belly,
Exploring the healing light and breath flowing into the belly,
Bringing that breath through the torso,
Mid body and into the belly,
Noticing the rise and fall of the belly as the healing light and breath fills the space.
Bringing the awareness of the breath moving into the pelvis,
Hips and seat,
The base of your being,
The root of the subtle energy space,
Really feeling the breath moving in the pelvis,
Hips and seat,
Filling that root space with healing light of awareness and breath,
Imagining the expansion in the space as we inhale and bring that breath in,
And sensing in the space the connection to the legs,
The space of the legs connect with the base of the body,
Healing breath flowing into the space at the base of the body where it connects to the legs,
Breathing into the space and feeling the expansion,
Exploring the breath in this space.
And now exploring the breath in the right thigh and the left thigh,
The light of awareness and breath in the right thigh and the left thigh,
As the awareness and breath flows down to the knees,
Right knee expanding with the breath and then the left knee expanding with the breath,
Right knee,
Left knee,
Breath of awareness in the spaces of both of the knees,
Sensing the connection through the knees from the upper legs into the lower legs,
Spaces of the knees,
Breathing into those spaces,
Expanding awareness,
Awareness of the breath as it flows from the knees into the lower legs,
Right shin and calf,
Left shin and calf,
The breath in the left shin and calf and the right shin and calf,
Sensing the spaces between the shins and calves,
Healing light of awareness and breath in the space of the shins and the calves,
Breathing here in the light of awareness,
Expansive breath as the energy flows down into the feet,
Noting the spaces where the legs meet the feet,
Bringing the breath to the space where the legs meet the feet and breathing there,
Imagine the expansion in the space where the legs meet the feet and now exploring the energy and breath flowing from these spaces and into the heels,
Arches and balls of the feet,
Energy and breath flowing into the heels,
Arches and balls of the feet,
Bringing the breath to the right foot and the breath into the left foot,
Healing light of awareness and breath filling the entire right foot and the entire left foot,
Expansive awareness as the breath flows in and out through the right and left feet and now imagine that healing light of awareness and breath as it flows into the toes,
Every toe filled with breath and energy expanding and contracting with the breath and begin to notice the space between the toes,
The light of awareness and breath as it flows in the toes and the spaces between the toes and now breathing in this peaceful place,
Exploring the connection in the body,
How the breath flows from head and crown to the neck,
The neck into the shoulders,
The shoulders into the arms,
The arms into the hands,
The hands into the fingers and the breath connection between the shoulders and chest,
Chest to the torso,
Torso to the mid body and belly,
The belly to the root center,
Root center to hips and legs,
Places where the upper and lower body meet,
Noticing the connection in the breath in each of these spaces,
Sensing the connection where the legs meet the knees and the spaces where the knees connect to the legs and the lower legs flowing into spaces,
The ankles connect to the feet and the feet to the toes,
Really exploring the powerful flow of the energy and breath from head to toe,
Expansively filling all the spaces of the body and now we begin to breathe and bring expansive awareness of the connection of the body by exploring these spaces and the various emotions that might reside there and to begin we deepen our breath and use the breath as a bridge to that mind-body connection and your mind as you inhale thinking I am exploring and exhaling out my mind-body connection,
Inhaling in I am exploring,
Exhaling out my mind-body connection,
Inhaling in I am exploring,
Exhaling my mind-body connection and now I invite you to create space in the expanse of the breath to ask your body what it needs you to know,
Allowing the breath in the body to tell you what you need to know as you breathe here,
Pausing in this peaceful place,
Listening to what the body wants you to know.
Hands programmesreys mouthDar Allowing the awareness to take you to the spaces of body that has something to share.
Allowing the awareness to flow from place to place.
Listening intuitively for whatever the body needs you to know.
Listening with ears with no compassion.
With no judgement only compassion.
Listening in for where your body is talking to you.
Listening in for the body messages.
Just noticing.
And when you get a message,
Bringing the breath right to the space of the body that has something to share.
As a way to honor and give awareness.
As you explore the spaces of the body.
And see what happens when you receive a message.
If you go to that place in the body and you soften.
Soften into that place.
Soften into the message.
And now I invite you to pay attention to where certain emotions might alight in your body.
And explore what they feel like in your body as you breathe.
Explore if there is a sensation,
Color or texture in those places in the body.
And then placing the breath right in those sweet spaces.
Understanding where joy might reside in your body.
And what that might look and feel like.
Explore what peace might feel like in your body.
And what that would look and feel like.
Understanding what anger might look and feel like in the body.
Where that might reside.
Again,
Just noticing.
Just noticing with compassion.
Understanding where anger might reside in the body.
And where in the body might grief be.
Where might you sense grief in the body.
What does that look and feel like to you?
Just witnessing.
And now looking for what love might look like in the body.
Exploring a space of love inside the body.
What that might look and feel like.
Bringing the breath of awareness to the place or places in your body that are holding space for love.
Now bringing awareness and the breath to the space in the body that might be holding the feeling of excitement.
Where in your body are you holding space for excitement?
What does that look and feel like to have excitement in the body?
Just breathing into that space.
A nod of awareness and witness.
And last,
Where do you find that you hold space for hope in your body?
When scanning the body,
Giving over to awareness,
Where in the body can you hold space for hope?
What does that look and feel like?
Bringing the breath into the sweet space where we hold space for hope.
And listening as we explore the body with the breath,
Making deep connections with our body experience,
As rooted with the emotions,
Thoughts,
How they are so deeply connected,
And what it is like to honor and listen to the body,
To truly explore what the body has to say on this journey,
In this moment,
Taking time to just listen to whatever your body has to say and share as you breathe here.

Beginning to slowly return to the earth body,
Feeling the sense of the muscles and bones and how they root you in the physical plane.
Taking a moment to explore and coordinate the physical body,
The breath and emotion.
Making space to expand your awareness into this internal realm of your being.
Paying attention to how you are feeling.
Just exploring how the body,
Emotion and breath are so connected in this moment.
And bringing the awareness to the breath in your body as it expands the chest,
Ribs,
Belly and back,
Bringing in vital life force energy.
Beginning to run the thumbs across the ends of the fingertips.
Beginning to bring awareness in the fingers and hands.
Might rub your hands together creating some warmth and gently place those hands over the heart as you sense the movement in your body and sensing the movement of the breath in that chest space.
Connecting this moment to how you are feeling as you breathe.
And if it resonates for you,
Bringing your hands to prayer position at heart center.
As we close for today,
