This is a 7-minute version of Lai's Grounding Back To The Present meditation to help ground you, to feel stable, mindful, calm, and bringing your awareness back in the here and now. You can listen to this track anywhere and anytime you need to recenter, feel alert and connected quickly. This is particularly helpful if you experience dissociation - (DID).

I invite you to close down your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Bring your focus on the sensation of your breath moving between the space between your nose and mouth.

Continue to focus on this spot for five more deep breaths.

Take a deep breath in,

You may like to imagine each breath as it enters your body filling you right down into your legs and exhale following the breath out through your feet.

Inhale deeply and exhale out through the mouth.

Take another deep breath in through the nose and exhale through the mouth.

Inhale again and notice the sound of the air pulling in through your nose and exhale notice the sound of the air pushing out through your mouth.

Inhale deeply filling your lungs with air and exhale ready for the deepest inhale.

That's right through your nose grounding you to this moment and exhale relaxing and settling into this space and you can relax into a natural breathing rhythm.

The breath helps to calm and quieten down the mind to feel grounded and to ground you even more.

Turn your attention to focus on the sensation of your feet as it touches the ground beneath and you can state the following phrase my name is I am located at and the day is and the date is and the time is and you can repeat the following affirmations I am alive in stillness I let things come and go I am anchored I am safe calm I am enough everything I need is within myself I am intelligent and creative I am right here right now present with myself I feel grounded worthy and whole just as I am I feel the Earth's magnetic embrace I trust myself I am grounded I am centered I am me I am here and it is now the most important place to be at this time take a deep cleansing breath in and release feeling the fullness of your groundedness feeling alert and connected present and aware and feeling fully supported in the world and in your life
