Namaste,
My name is Christi and I'm here to support you on this Yoga Nidra experience,
A journey to come to your inner refuge,
To find a state or a frequency of inner peace.
So when you're ready,
Just please make your way into an extremely comfortable position for restoration.
It can be really nice and cozy and supportive to have props like blankets and pillows.
Turn down the lights or cover your eyes and once you find that comfortable position,
Just allow yourself to drop into stillness.
Feel your body resting and giving all of your weight into the surface beneath you.
Just start to feel and experience the rise and fall of your breath as it deepens.
Feel the steadiness of your body resting.
Just feel your whole body breathing and relaxing.
With every exhale breath,
Just start to dissolve any tension around your forehead and your jaw and just experience the space of feeling held and supported.
There's nothing you need to do,
Nowhere you need to be.
Just allowing this to be a space of reset for your nervous system,
Knowing that after this practice you'll be able to support others and the world around you with more peace and calm energy from within.
Observe your feet and just start to relax your feet,
Allowing the legs to now relax.
The pelvis and the hips are able to let go,
Which also then softens your stomach and organs.
Breathing space across the upper chest so your heart can feel supported,
Allowing softness in the arms and the hands.
All the tension around your throat,
Jaw and any effort around the eyes and the forehead can now release.
Your whole body just starts to feel completely relaxed and bringing your awareness to the space of your heart,
Drawing in this vibration of gratitude,
Perhaps just thinking of things in your life that you are grateful for and then releasing those and just experiencing the echo of connecting with the gratitude of everything that you have surrounding you and staying in this frequency of gratitude at the heart space.
Invite in your sankalpa or your intention for this practice.
A sankalpa is a heartfelt desire spoken in the positive as if it is already happening.
If you're working with a sankalpa,
You can bring that into this practice or perhaps repeating,
I am at peace with myself and all that surrounds me.
Repeating your sankalpa three times now,
Silently in your heart space.
We will now move through a rotation of consciousness throughout your body.
You might perhaps feel or visualize a wave of peaceful energy touching each point that I name to create a ripple effect,
A wave of peace throughout your body.
Beginning with your mouth,
The tongue,
The tip of your nose,
Inside of the right nostril,
Inside of the left nostril,
The flow of air inside your nose,
A wave of peace at the space right between your eyebrows,
Both of the eyes,
Both of the ears.
Taking your time to bring peace to the center of your heart,
The right shoulder,
Elbow,
Wrist,
Palm,
The right finger,
Starting with the right thumb,
Second finger,
Third finger,
Fourth finger,
Pinky finger,
The right side of your waist,
Hip,
Knee,
Ankle.
Feel peace over your right foot,
All of the right toes,
Starting with the big toe,
Second toe,
Third toe,
Fourth toe,
Fifth toe.
Traveling that wave of peace back to your heart center,
The left shoulder,
Elbow,
Wrist,
Palm,
All of the left fingers,
Starting with the left thumb,
Second finger,
Third finger,
Fourth finger,
Pinky finger,
The left side of your waist,
Hip,
Knee,
Ankle.
Feeling peace over the left foot,
All of the toes,
Beginning with the left big toe,
Second toe,
Third toe,
Fourth toe,
Pinky toe.
Just feeling a wave of peace ripple over your whole entire body,
Your whole body a unified field of peaceful energy,
Awareness of this life force energy moving through you,
Even creating peace around your energetic field,
Your aura.
Simply just become aware of your breath.
Again,
No need to do anything,
Just feeling the breath move in through the nostrils,
Down across the throat,
To the chest and the belly,
And then back from the belly,
The chest,
The throat,
And out through the nostrils.
A wave of breath,
Creating a wave of peace and calm within.
We'll begin to go on a journey,
Finding your way to your inner refuge,
This inner sanctuary that fills you with peace and calm.
Start to imagine and visualize your favorite space in nature.
It can be somewhere you've been or perhaps somewhere that you're just imagining at some point you will be.
Notice if there's bodies of water there,
Like the ocean or a still lake,
A babbling creek.
Notice the trees,
If there's a gentle breeze,
Temperature of your space,
Any sunlight trickling down to warm your skin.
Noticing the sounds,
If there's birds,
Just allowing yourself this space to immerse yourself in this healing vibration of nature,
Feeling it surround you,
Feeling it within you,
Immersed in this beautiful inner refuge that you've created.
There is a gift here in this space for you from Mother Earth or perhaps from your higher self or a spirit guide.
This gift can be a word that you're wanting to call in,
Can be a specific message,
Can also be a gift of nature,
Like a specific flower that you connect to or an animal or a symbol.
Just connecting here in this inner refuge with this gift,
This gift that brings peace into your life.
You're just taking a moment in this deeply relaxed state in your inner sanctuary with your sacred gift,
Tapping into the frequency of trust and faith that this gift that brings you peace is already within you,
Bringing your awareness back into your body,
Bringing your awareness back into your open heart,
Drawing forth your sankalpa and just explore the miraculous sensations of relaxation throughout your body,
Feeling at peace in your mind,
Your body and your spirit.
Now if you can continue to lie here and rest,
Please stay as long as you need to restore.
If you're ready to make your way out of your practice,
You can do that by gently just starting to reawaken your body,
Mental stretches.
I'm incredibly grateful for being your guide on this journey.
From my peaceful heart to yours,
Namaste,
Shanti shanti shanti,
Peace,
Peace,
Peace.
Have a beautiful and blessed day.
