This is a practice for living deep within the body and learning to move from a grounded,
Embodied state.
Stand upright with your feet about hip distance apart.
Feel your weight evenly distributed between both feet.
Let your body settle into stillness.
Keep your eyes open,
Looking straight ahead.
Take a deep breath in,
And exhale through your mouth.
Let's do that again.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in,
And exhale fully.
One more time.
This time as you exhale,
Send your breath all the way down to your feet.
Feel your feet in contact with the ground as an important foundation of your body.
Now imagine a soft glow of white light expanding inside the feet and filling the entire inner space of your feet,
From your heels to all 10 toes.
This soft glow of light fills every inch of your feet.
Allow the light to release tension,
Making more space within your feet.
You are fully inhabiting the internal space of your feet,
Experiencing life from inside of your feet,
Breathing naturally.
The light now moves into the entire inner space of your ankles,
Your lower legs,
Your knees,
Your upper legs,
And your pelvis.
Feel the soft,
Warm light expand to fill the inner space of your pelvis.
Feel the area of your pelvis from the front to the back and on both sides.
Noticing any sensations,
Releasing tension,
Making more space.
Feel the pelvic floor and the sit bones.
Feel into the inner space of your hip sockets.
Fully inhabit this space.
Live from inside of your pelvis.
The light now expands to fill the entire inner space of the belly and the lower back.
Now into your chest,
Feeling the soft glow of light fill the entire inner space of your chest,
Releasing,
Making space.
Feel your body breathing,
Noticing sensations.
Feel into the center of your chest,
Into the emotional space of your heart.
Connect with this space,
No separation.
Experience life from inside of your chest.
The light now expands to fill the entire inner space of your shoulders and your upper arms,
Your elbows,
Your lower arms,
Your hands,
And all 10 fingers.
Feel yourself living from inside of this space,
Noticing sensations,
Breathing.
The light expands into your throat and the entire inner space of your neck.
It now fills the entire space of your head,
From the front of your head to the back,
From the top of your head to the bottom,
And to both sides.
Feel the soft,
Warm light move into the space of your eyes as you continue to gaze forward.
Let it adjust your vision so you can take in your surroundings while remaining deep within your body.
Live from within the inner space of your eyes.
Notice how vision and embodiment can exist together.
Now hold awareness of your feet,
Pelvis,
Chest,
And eyes at once.
Feel them together,
Filled with light,
As you remain grounded in your body.
Now begin to walk slowly.
Feel the ground underneath your feet with each step.
From here,
You can cycle through the feet,
Pelvis,
Chest,
And eyes until you can be in all four areas at once.
Move from within.
Stay connected to the deep inner space of your body as you walk.
Noticing sensations.
Breathing.
Resting your mind within your body.
Walk like this in a grounded state for as long as you'd like.
With practice,
Inhabiting the internal space of your body will start to feel more natural and effortless,
Even as you move through the world.
