Listening Near & Far
A gentle, trauma-sensitive meditation exploring sound through distance and awareness. The practice invites attention toward sounds that are far away, sounds that are closer, and sounds that are nearby - without needing to identify, understand, or search for them. Attention can move naturally between distant, closer, and closest sounds, allowing the surrounding soundscape to be received without effort or judgment. A quiet exploration of listening, orientation, and present-moment awareness, with no need to find a particular sound or listen in any particular way. The practice closes by allowing the sounds to return to the background while reconnecting with the room and the support beneath the body.
