Find a comfortable place where you will not be disturbed.

And settle into a position where you are comfortable enough to travel inward without dozing off.

Once you're settled,

Close your eyes or soften your gaze.

Take in a slow deep breath and as you release this breath let your body completely relax.

Take another slow deep breath and exhale out any burdens or fears.

Take in another deep breath and on the exhale release all your thoughts leaving your mind completely free.

Bring your awareness to the posture of your body.

Make any minor adjustments to help bring your body to ease.

Start to notice the places where your body is touching something else.

Can you feel the contact between your feet and the floor?

Pay special attention to the physical feeling of the feet.

There's nothing special to do here.

Just observe how the feet feel in this moment.

Continue up to where you can feel the contact between your tailbone and whatever you're sitting or lying on.

Notice the contact and pressure of the thighs.

Rest your awareness here mindfully observing what this feels like in your body.

Shift your attention to your hands however they may be resting.

Feel the places where the hands are touching each other or sitting in your lap or resting on your knees.

Focus on whatever part of your hand is in contact with something else.

Now see where you can feel the sensation of the clothes on your body.

You can scan the body to see where the sensation is present.

It may be easiest to feel the places where the clothing stops and the skin is exposed such as the arms,

The neck or the ankles.

Finally bring your awareness to the sensation of the air on your skin.

You may notice the temperature of the air feels different on the palm of your hand than on the back of the hand.

There's no right or wrong here.

Be true to whatever you're experiencing in this moment.

Hold on to the stillness that you've cultivated through this mindfulness practice but start to release your focus on the points of contact as we transition into deep listening.

Through the practice of deep listening you may hear answers or receive information from your own inner wisdom but it's not so important for that to happen.

To benefit from this practice it's only necessary that you listen and practice being as open as you can.

This effort teaches you to expand your awareness and connect with your own inner wisdom.

Remember the more you practice the deeper your listening will become.

Today's deep listening question is inspired by the astrology sign of Gemini.

With its symbol of twins conversing Gemini asked us to weave a web of connections and build networks with humor and all forms of communication.

Gemini's purpose is to disperse ideas like bees buzzing over flowers.

Gemini's gift is an open mind and a sense of universal siblinghood.

We are all in this together.

The soul knows how to find itself back in equilibrium if we just let all parts communicate.

Take your focus inward and ask yourself what message do I need to share?

Sit with this question without trying to analyze or think and allow any answers to come up from deep within.

You may have found this exercise difficult.

It's hard to hold an inner focus without the mind taking over.

If that's the case just remember with patience and some effort over time you can learn to quiet the mind and tune into your own inner wisdom.

As we reach the end of today's practice bring your palms together at heart center slightly bow in your head.

Take a moment to reflect on your experience.

Were you able to connect with your inner wisdom?

Did the practice of deep listening bring meaning and direction?

Allow the experience and any insights you have gained to stay with you as you bring your awareness back to your physical surroundings.

Take your time and when you are ready open your eyes and allow your body any gentle movement that it needs.
