Then,
When you're ready,
Close your eyes or find a soft gazing point.
Take a slow breath in through your nose and exhale softly out of your mouth,
Again inhaling and filling the lungs completely and exhaling letting your muscles soften their grip.
One more time,
A long inhale and a full exhale out of the mouth,
Releasing the body and allowing the thoughts running through your mind to slow down.
Now allow your breath to return to a natural rhythm.
Follow your breath as it dances in and out of your body,
Inhaling following the breath's pathway as it moves into your body and exhaling following the breath as it takes the same pathway back out of your body.
Now shift your awareness to the top of your head.
Just focus on the top of the head for a moment and then slowly guide your attention down across your forehead,
Behind your eyes,
Down your jaw and neck,
Let your shoulders soften,
Your chest relax and your belly be soft and easy.
Feel the weight of your body supported by the earth beneath you from the gentle hug of gravity coming from above.
You are grounded,
Rooted in this present moment,
Right here with your body and your breath.
And at the same time,
You are something more than just this physical form.
There is a wiser part of you,
An all-knowing,
Beautiful and divinely connected part of you,
Your higher self,
A part of you that you can access and live from,
Get guidance from and interweave this part of you into the you that exists in each and every moment.
And imagine now there is a point at the top of your head that opens,
Just a natural unfolding,
An opening of the crown of your head where you experience a gentle expansion.
Visualize the crown of your head opening,
Opening up the door or window between you and your higher self.
And now in your mind's eye,
Imagine that you are standing at the bottom of a spiral staircase.
You stand at the bottom and look up at the steps as they spiral and rise upward.
Each step here leads you further inward.
With each step,
You move closer to your deepest knowing,
Your highest self.
And you take the first step,
Noticing your thoughts getting quieter.
The second step,
Your emotions settling like a snow in a snow globe.
The third step,
A sense of deep knowing expanding within you.
And you continue up the staircase.
With every step,
You leave behind any expectations,
Limitations,
Anything that is holding you back from accessing your wisest self.
And you continue to climb the stairs until you eventually reach the top.
And at the top,
There is a doorway,
And this door leads to your highest self.
So you put your hand on the handle,
Pause for a moment,
Take a deep breath,
And you open the door.
Inside that door is a room that's bathed in light.
It's radiant,
And as you step inside,
You feel an immediate recognition.
This place feels familiar.
It feels familiar because it is you.
This room resides within you,
And it can be accessed any time.
And in the center of the room,
You notice a presence.
It may appear as a version of you,
Maybe older,
Wiser,
Brighter,
Or maybe it just feels like warmth or energy or knowing.
There's no right way for your higher self to appear,
But you know that it's there.
This is the part of you that sees the full picture,
The part of you who knows your path and what is right,
Even if your mind isn't so sure.
Take time to simply be with your highest self,
Just being in its presence.
And then,
Like a golden light,
Or a deep awakening of wisdom,
Information begins to come in,
Steady streams of clarity and understanding,
Deep insights from your highest self.
Maybe you feel this information flow down through the top of your head,
Like a warm and wise current.
This information moves through your mind,
Bringing you perspective and clarity.
It pours down through your throat,
Awakening truth,
Flows through your heart,
Welcoming reassurance,
And into your belly,
Connecting with that gut feeling deep within you.
Allow this flow of information from your highest self to pour through you.
There is nothing you need to do,
But just receive.
And now imagine that this flow of information and light begins to soften.
Top of your head begins to close,
Turning down the volume from your highest self,
Knowing that the wisdom remains within you and you can return to this place at any time.
There is no separation between the two of you.
You now walk hand in hand in each moment.
Begin to notice the surface beneath you.
Allow your breath to begin to deepen,
Bringing small movement back into your body,
Ending your practice with a moment of gratitude for all that your higher self shared with you.
And then when you're ready,
Opening your eyes and closing your meditation practice.
Thank you so much for joining me today.
