So let's begin by getting comfortable.
Finding any position that feels good for your body.
And is just nourishing and supportive for you.
And then if you like,
You could close your eyes or soften your gaze.
Not just closing down that sense of sight.
Turning your gaze inward.
And taking a moment to pause.
And just let yourself be here in this moment.
A moment where you're able to stop motion,
Stop doing,
And just be.
Like you're becoming the eye of a storm.
Life may still be moving around you,
But you have paused and found stillness and quiet in this moment.
Now allow your awareness to fall on your breath.
There's nothing to change in your breathing or force in any way.
But just notice a smooth,
Effortless rhythm.
The breath dancing in and out of your body.
And notice where the breath is most present for you right now.
Is it in the chest,
The belly,
The ribs,
Maybe somewhere else?
Just notice where the breath is going within you.
And as you breathe,
Begin to tune in to your body.
Noticing any sensations without judgment.
Just notice how your body is doing right now.
You might notice that certain areas are calling your attention.
Maybe they feel tight or tired.
Or maybe there's some areas that feel good and at ease.
Just notice how your body is doing right now.
And then on your next exhale,
Imagine your body is sinking.
Into the surface beneath you.
A softening into it.
Allow yourself to be fully supported.
Completely hell.
Grounding and rooting down through the points of contact between your body and the surface beneath you.
Your muscles melting.
Releasing.
The forehead relaxes.
Eyes rest back.
Jaw softens.
Tongue falls away from the roof of the mouth.
Your shoulders drop away from your ears.
The small muscles that run up and down your spine release.
Muscles between the ribs let go of clenching.
As your body is reminded.
It doesn't need to carry anything or do anything right now.
Abdomen softens,
Legs are long and soft.
And you take a few big,
Deep,
Easy breaths.
With every breath out,
The body remembers that it's okay to rest.
It's okay not to do for a few moments.
Now draw your attention inward.
And begin to move to a safe and quiet space within.
As the attention turns inward,
Things around you begin to naturally become more still and quiet.
Thoughts fade to the background.
To imagine that within your body there's a place that feels steady and calm.
Maybe it's a place that looks like a certain room.
Maybe it's out in nature.
Or perhaps it's just a small bubble within that you can go to when you need.
There's no wrong place to be.
And just visualize your safe space within.
Knowing that when you are in this place,
You can feel that the body doesn't need to hold stress so tightly.
Your mind doesn't need to race a million miles a minute.
Your heart softens and you feel safe.
Give yourself permission to be here.
To be in this place.
To take a break and retreat to a calm space within.
There's nothing to do.
There's no one that you need to be.
Everything is okay here.
Just allow yourself to rest in this quiet,
Inner safe space within you.
And if your mind wanders,
That's okay.
Just guide it back gently.
Returning to that place within.
Now begin to return to your body.
Return to the room around you.
Deepening your breath.
And coming back to the here and now.
Knowing that you can return to this place within you anytime.
Thank you so much for being here with me today.
