Hello and welcome,
I'm so thankful that you're joining me tonight.
Let yourself settle in and allow the day to melt from your shoulders.
Let the quiet of the night wrap softly around you,
Like a lullaby sung without words.
Let your body relax,
And bring your attention onto your breathing,
Slowly and fully.
Your breath like a tide returning to shore,
Again and again.
Let each inhale bring you comfort,
And let each exhale carry something away.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Feel your body surrender into the bed beneath you.
Feel your mattress rising to meet you,
Your pillows cradling your head,
Your blanket warming you.
Everything here wants to help you rest.
See if you can begin to imagine a single ancient tree,
The dream tree.
Its branches stretch wide,
Laced with stars,
Its bark textured with time,
Its roots deep in the quiet earth.
Beneath this tree,
A swing hangs gently from a low,
Sturdy limb.
Its ropes are strong,
Its seat is wide and inviting,
And tonight it's waiting just for you.
With a deep breath,
Feel yourself sitting upon the swing,
Your body light and your heart at ease.
The moment you settle in,
The swing begins to move,
Rocking slowly back and forth,
Back and forth.
The wind hums a soft melody through the leaves above you.
The moonlight filters through the branches,
Spilling dappled silver onto your skin.
You notice your thoughts are slowing,
They drift like clouds beyond the tree's reach,
Farther and farther,
Until they're gone.
Your breath follows the rhythm of the swing.
You inhale as it rises,
You exhale as it returns.
Inhale.
Inhale.
Your body sways gently,
Releasing tension and letting go of stories,
Of shoulds,
Of pressure,
Of plans.
Each movement reminds you,
You don't have to hold so tightly.
You don't have to know what's next.
This gentle sway is enough.
You are safe here.
You are one with the divine you.
As the swing rocks you,
You feel the tree's wisdom seep into your chest.
It whispers through its roots,
Through the ropes,
Through the leaves.
You belong.
You are whole.
And you are free to rest now.
Let yourself be rocked deeper into stillness,
And let the hush of the night sing you softly to sleep.
Let the dream tree,
The swings,
And the stars hold you.
As you drift into dreams.
Namaste.
Beautiful.
