The day is done and you are here,
So close your eyes and let yourself rest.
Every conversation,
Every decision,
Every task complete brought you right here and now you can let go.
Your body has worked for you all day.
It has carried you from one place to another.
It has held the weight of your thoughts,
Your emotions,
Your lists,
And your to-do's.
And now it's ready to rest.
So let your bed hold you,
And feel your blankets wrap around you,
Sink into your pillow that supports you,
And give yourself permission to melt.
Take a slow deep breath in,
Letting your lungs expand gently,
And as you exhale,
Release just a little more of the day.
Another deep breath in,
Drawing in calm,
And then a long breath out,
Letting all that tension drift away.
Stay here,
With the slow natural rhythm of your breath,
Feeling the waves of calm as they come in,
And the release of the day as it moves out.
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
Notice the muscles in your face softening,
Your forehead releasing,
Your jaw unclenching,
Your cheeks growing loose and light.
Notice your neck relaxing,
Your shoulders lowering,
And all the heaviness melting.
Let your arms soften now,
And your hands open just a bit as you feel your fingers loosen.
There is nothing to hold tonight.
Every breath is a release.
Feel your chest grow soft,
Your breath flowing without effort,
Your heart steady and calm.
Every exhale releases more stress,
And every inhale fills you with peace.
Feel your body relaxing,
Unwinding piece by piece from the tension of the day.
Let your back loosen as every muscle along your spine melts.
Feel your hips open and sink deeper into the bed.
Feel your thighs grow heavy,
And your calves grow soft and warm.
Notice your feet loosening their grip,
Completely surrendered now to the comfort of your bed.
From head to toe,
You are unwinding.
From head to toe,
You are releasing.
From head to toe,
You are free.
Everything melts into the night.
Everything dissolves into the silence.
Everything fades until there's nothing left but you,
And rest.
Rest here now.
Sleep here,
And let the night cradle you into the dreams waiting for you.
Namaste,
Beautiful.
