Sowing the seed of how you want to approach the day enhances your focus and motivation. Done regularly this simple practice can help to cultivate mindfulness, a positive mindset and a more fulfilled and intentional life. Please leave me a rating if this practice resonates with you. Thank you for joining me.

I'm Kate Hubert from Mindful Movement and Meditation.

Setting a positive intention at the beginning of your day can help you to navigate the day ahead with a clear and centred mind.

I invite you to find a comfortable and quiet space where you won't be disturbed.

Sit or lie down in a relaxed but comfortable position,

Arms and legs uncrossed and spine straight.

Gently close your eyes and take a few deep breaths in and out through the nose.

Place your attention on your breath,

Feeling the breath in your nostrils,

The rise and fall of your chest and the movement of your belly.

In and out as you inhale and exhale,

Allowing any residual sleepiness,

Tension or distractions to melt away as you exhale.

Bring your awareness to the present moment.

Notice the sensations of the air on your skin,

The sounds around you,

Perhaps the temperature of the room.

Let go of any thoughts about the past or the future and be here in this present moment.

And now set your intention for the day ahead.

What would you like to cultivate today?

It could be a quality such as gratitude,

Patience or compassion or a mindset of focus or productivity.

Don't overthink it.

Go with whatever feels right for you today.

Get out of your head and into your heart.

What feels right in your heart.

Go with whatever comes up first.

And now repeat to yourself after me.

With this intention,

I consciously choose to enjoy a day of.

.

.

And your intention.

Place your intention.

It could be a day of ease and flow,

Joy,

Accomplishment or achievement.

With this intention,

I consciously choose to enjoy a day of.

.

.

As you continue to breathe,

Visualize this intention as a radiant light at the very center of your chest.

And with each inhale,

Imagine this light expanding and filling your entire body.

Feel the warmth,

The energy.

Feel it growing brighter and stronger with each breath.

In your mind's eye,

Imagine yourself moving through your day with this intention.

Guiding your thoughts,

Your words and your actions.

See yourself responding to challenges with grace.

Interacting with others from a place of kindness and staying aligned with your chosen intention.

Imagine this in as much detail as you can.

What would your expression be?

Your posture?

Your tone of voice?

How would you feel?

If you can't visualize this,

Describe it.

Describe the colors,

The sounds,

The feelings.

Feel as if you are in this scene.

And keeping this image in mind,

Silently repeat after me your chosen intention.

I consciously choose to enjoy a day of.

.

.

I consciously choose to enjoy a day of.

.

.

Carry your intention with you throughout the day.

Repeat it as a mantra and feel its power and positivity infusing every cell of your being.

I consciously choose to enjoy a day of.

.

.

Continue with your eyes closed as we now prepare to leave this meditation.

Take the energy of your intention with you as you move forward into your day,

Knowing that you have set a positive and purposeful tone for whatever lies ahead.

And should you be pulled off track or something arises,

Just know that you will handle it with grace,

Ease and flow.

So allow your next breath in to be very strong and very deep.

Feel your whole body come alive with this strong breath.

Take your time and when you're ready you can begin to wiggle your fingers and your toes.

You can very very gently roll your head from side to side to break the thread of concentration.

And when you're ready you can open your eyes and enjoy the rest of your day.
