I know it seems a lot right now,
And I guess maybe it is,
But you're okay.
Hi,
My name is Karen,
And if you're listening to this right now,
I know that you feel overwhelmed but I just want to remind you that this is going to pass,
And that you're okay.
I know you don't feel it right now,
But you're okay.
Let's just slow things down just a little bit right now.
Come to your breath.
Just find it.
Where do you feel it in your body right now?
This might be in the nostrils.
The air feels cool there,
Doesn't it?
It's funny,
Even if the room is hot,
The air can feel cool.
Or maybe you feel the breath in the back of your throat.
Can you feel it there?
It's cool there too,
Isn't it?
Let's see if we can follow your breath down,
Down into your chest.
Can you feel your chest expanding with each breath in,
And contracting with each breath out?
Just rest with it there for a moment.
I've got you.
Excellent.
Now see if you can breathe a little more deeply.
Breathe a little deeper down,
Down into your belly.
Can you feel your belly rise with each breath in?
Can you feel it fall with each breath out?
Not forcing,
Just breathing,
Inviting your breath.
It feels good to breathe.
Not trying.
We're not trying to fix anything.
There's no need to fix your breath.
It's perfect.
Just breathe.
Breathing in,
And breathing out.
You're okay.
And whatever it is that's happening right now for you,
It's going to pass.
It is.
Everything passes,
Good and bad.
And I want you to know something.
That where you are right now didn't happen by accident.
A lot of the choices that you've made,
The decisions that you've taken,
They were good and strong and right.
But the choices that you've made,
The decisions that you've made,
The choices that you've made,
The choices that you've made,
The choices that you've made,
The choices that you've made,
The choices that you've made,
The choices that you've made,
The choices that you've The truth is,
You've got this.
You're going to be okay.
Go back to your breath.
Where do you feel it?
See if you can deepen that breath all the way down,
Down into your belly.
Now I want you to imagine yourself,
Wherever you are,
Whether you're standing,
Sitting or lying down.
I want you to imagine yourself to be like a tree,
A beautiful,
Tall tree.
See all your branches.
I want you to imagine what kind of tree you are.
Standing tall.
A giant.
And now,
As you breathe,
I want you to imagine your roots.
The roots of the tree.
Moving down deep,
Deep down into Mother Earth.
Shifting into the cool earth.
Letting her hold and support you.
Your roots holding strong,
No matter the storm.
No matter the storm.
Let the winds howl.
You're fine.
You're fine.
Now go back to your breath.
Let it wrap around you like a blanket.
Let it protect you.
You're safe.
You're okay.
And no matter what is happening right now,
No matter how strong the winds blow,
It's going to pass.
You're going to get through this.
You're going to be alright.
It's okay.
It's alright to be scared.
It's a lot,
I know.
But it's going to pass.
You just have to believe.
To trust in your roots.
You are supported.
Trust in your roots.
Trust in Mother Earth.
Trust that everything that you will need to get through this already exists within you.
Go to your breath.
