We spend so much time doing things for other people.
This practice is gonna be a special one because it will help you move the needle forward on the things and the goals that are important to you.
If you're ready to get started with me,
Go ahead and place your hands over the center of your chest,
One over the other,
And make sure they're not too high,
Right over the center of the chest.
Close your eyes if you feel comfortable doing so.
And soften your body about 10% more.
See if you could find a place that you're holding a little tension,
Maybe in the shoulders,
Maybe in the face,
The jaw,
The legs,
And just soften 10% more.
And then from there,
See if you can soften even more.
And now take a deep,
Full breath in and exhale everything out through the mouth.
Ah.
And to the count of three,
Inhale with me for one,
Two,
Three,
Hold for one,
Two,
Three,
Exhale,
One,
Two,
Three.
Great,
Let's do that again.
Inhale,
One,
Two,
Deeper,
Three,
Hold for one,
Two,
Three,
Exhale,
One,
Two,
And three.
Last time,
Inhale deeply,
One,
Two,
Three,
Hold the breath a little bit longer this time.
Sip in a little bit more air,
Fill all the way up to your collarbone,
Your jaw,
Your throat,
Fill up a little bit more.
And now let it all out,
Soft and slow.
And just stay in this internal space.
And just breathe normally.
We spend so much time doing things for others.
It is so important and you deserve to be able to do something for yourself,
Something that moves you forward,
Something that takes you toward where you want to go.
And this practice for your goals is for you.
Give yourself permission.
You have permission.
I want you now to think of one thing in your life that you either want to deepen or take to the next level.
Maybe there's an artistic or creative project you're wanting to start.
Maybe there's something you're wanting to do with your health and fitness.
Maybe there's something that you've been thinking of spending more time on and with that you haven't allowed yourself to.
Whatever it is for you,
Just allow yourself to think of one thing,
Just one thing for now,
That you want to deepen or take to the next level in your life.
And once you have this one thing,
I want you to imagine a version of yourself who has completely gotten this goal or this thing done.
You've succeeded at it.
You've accomplished it.
Imagine a future version of you who has accomplished this thing beyond your wildest expectations.
Just notice what comes up.
Take a moment now to just let your imagination run here and visualize yourself accomplishing this thing,
Fully taking it there in the way that you've always dreamed of.
What do you notice?
What do you sense?
And then in this inner vision,
Just scan around yourself in the vision and notice what you see.
Just trust whatever arises,
Even if it's something small.
Notice if you're indoor or if you're outdoor as you imagine this future self accomplishing this goal.
Notice what colors you see.
Notice if there's anybody there with you or if you're alone.
And then just take a moment and imagine yourself accomplishing this beyond your wildest expectations.
You've fully taken it there.
What comes up for you?
What do you notice inside?
And last but not least,
What does it feel like to have accomplished this thing?
What will you feel like when it's done,
When you've fully taken it there,
When you're living it fully?
What does it feel like?
And now keeping this imagination alive of your future self accomplishing this goal,
I'm gonna ask you one question and I want you to answer this question with the first thing that comes to mind.
Here is your question.
As you imagine this future version of you who has accomplished this goal or taken this to the next level,
What is one thing that you can accomplish this week within the next seven days that would allow you to get closer to this vision?
I'll ask it again for you.
What is one thing you could accomplish this week within the next seven days time that would get you closer to being the person in that vision?
Just see what bubbles up for you.
One thing.
You might have multiple things come up and if so,
That's fine,
But just pick one for now and pick the thing that you can realistically accomplish and that's gonna have the biggest impact on you getting to this goal.
One thing.
And now once you've picked the thing,
Just imagine yourself doing it later this week.
Imagine it happening later this week.
What do you notice?
What do you sense?
Here you are accomplishing this thing.
You've done it.
You're doing it.
Imagine yourself taking this action,
This one step this week.
What do you notice?
What do you sense?
With your hands over the center of your chest,
Just say to yourself,
I am so grateful that I've shown up for myself this week.
Try to say it out loud or with a whisper.
I am so grateful that I've shown up for myself.
I am so grateful that I've shown up for myself.
Once you've said that three times,
Take a deep breath in and a deep breath out and just tell yourself,
I deserve to take this action this week.
I deserve to take this action this week.
Take another deep breath in and a breath out.
Ready?
I invite you to open your eyes and right away just jot down somewhere a little note of what is the action you're gonna do this week.
And if you really wanna take it to the next level,
Put it on your calendar for when you're gonna do it.
We have so much going on in our lives.
We spend so much time taking care of other people and that's a gift.
It's amazing that we can show up for our jobs and our families and get all the things done that we need to get done.
But it is so important and you deserve,
You deserve to be able to show up for the things that really matter to you,
Where you want to grow and where you want to evolve in your life because the truth is you matter too.
So I hope this practice was helpful to you and you accomplishing your goals and your dreams and you can come back to this every week or more often if you'd like to really think of and envision what it is and then pick a goal and an action that you're gonna do this week.
And my hope for you is that you can make a promise to me here that you will not let this week go past without you accomplishing this thing because you deserve it and you'll be so grateful that you did.
