This meditation is here to help you wake up,
To help you wake up to this day that has been gifted to you from the divine,
From the universe.
This sacred opportunity to step in fully,
To step in to life,
To the life that you were born to live on this day.
And on this day,
I invite you to not think about what you got to do,
But think about who you're going to be.
Who are you going to be on this day?
What presents are you going to offer to everyone you come in contact with on this day?
What gifts are you going to share on this day?
And yeah,
Maybe some days you'll feel a little tender and a little soft,
Like holding those gifts within for yourself,
And that's fine.
Maybe some days you just need to take care of yourself and relax and allow yourself to just process and be with any emotions that are arising.
And on some days you'll feel vibrant and excited and alive and ready to go out and share with the world.
So allow yourself first and foremost to be where you are.
You have full permission.
You have permission.
Give yourself permission to be exactly where you are.
I'd like you to start with your eyes closed and place both hands over your heart,
Both hands over the heart touching the chest.
And on the count of three,
Exhale everything out of your system through your nose.
One,
Two,
Three.
Exhale everything out through the nose.
Now slowly through the nose,
Inhale into the belly first,
Like we always start,
And then up into the chest.
And let the breath come into the heart and the collarbone and the throat and hold it in.
Hold it.
Just hold it,
Expanding.
And now open the mouth,
Let it go.
Two more times.
Deep inhale,
Belly first.
Up into the chest.
Slowly feel it expanding into your heart,
Letting that heart power come up to your collarbone into your throat.
Hold it in.
See if you can sip in a little bit more air so it feels like the breath is even coming all the way up into your jaw.
And open the mouth,
Let it go.
Now we're going to do this last one a little differently.
Starting the same way,
Inhale into your belly first,
Up into your chest and your heart.
Let it come into the collarbone and the throat and now hold it.
Now this time,
Silently and softly and slowly exhale through your nose,
As silently as you can.
Silently,
Softly,
Slowly.
And now just return to breathing normally.
You can keep your hands over your heart if that feels life-giving to you.
Otherwise,
You can just get comfortable.
The most important thing for the rest of this practice is that you are comfortable.
Permission.
Give yourself even more permission to feel,
To be,
To just be,
To feel the waves that are naturally coming up through your body,
Through your energy,
Through your energetic field,
Through your emotional field.
The energy that's naturally pulsing through you this morning.
Without judging it,
Without trying to shift it,
Without trying to change it,
We can shift it later,
But first let's give it permission to rise.
Give it permission to arise.
Give it permission to be.
Just to be.
And get curious.
What is this sacred feeling that I'm having?
If I didn't label it as bad or good or painful or comfortable or easy or hard,
If I just noticed that this feeling that I'm having is the feeling of being alive,
I am alive.
And this is just one of the textures.
This morning here,
This flavor of emotion is just one of the unique textures and flavors that I am feeling that I'll never quite feel in this way again.
Alive.
I am alive.
And once we get in touch with our instinctive nature,
Just really touching in first with how we're feeling,
Then we give ourselves permission to choose.
Do I want to stay with this feeling?
Do I want to hold this feeling tenderly and allow it to fill and expand through my body?
Do I want to let this feeling teach me something or tell me something or show me something?
Or do I want to shift it?
Do I want to elevate it?
Do I want to take it higher?
Do I want to enhance it?
Breathe.
Breathe.
Breathe.
As the sun shines its light onto the earth this morning,
We are given the gift of a new day.
We are given the gift of light,
Of sight,
Thinking how magical it is that the only reason we can see anything,
You can even open your eyes right now and look,
The only reason we can see anything is because the sun has gifted us with light today.
With no light,
Nothing that you see would be reflecting light into your eyes.
Nothing would be perceived.
This day would be in darkness.
We give glory to the sun and we give glory to the light within you.
The light within you that shines upon everything you touch today.
The light within you that shines upon all you encounter today.
And this is a sacred opportunity to take this day and remember that it is a gift.
I'd like to end this meditation today with a practice of gratitude.
I'm going to offer you some phrases and I want you to just fill in the blank at the end of these phrases with your own expression of gratitude.
As you're thinking of things to be grateful for,
I want you to be specific about something that you have to be grateful for today,
Even before you step into your day,
Even before you've started your day.
There's already so much life to be grateful for,
So much that's coming to you this day to be grateful for.
By expressing this gratitude,
We expand our capacity for joy,
Expand our capacity for happiness and expand our capacity to receive everything that comes our way with open arms and an open heart.
So fill in these blanks.
A person that I am most grateful to interact with today is blank.
I'll say it again.
A person who I am most grateful that I will get the opportunity to interact with today is blank.
The thing I am most excited to do today that I am so grateful to get the opportunity to do today is blank.
Again,
The thing I am so grateful to get to do today,

If I could have anything I wished for happen today,
What it would be is blank.
If I could have anything I could ever wish for happen today,

It could even be simple.

Even in dark moments,
I know I have so much to be thankful for.

Take a full deep breath in.

Your bedroom,
Wherever you are right now.
Just look around you.
Look where you are.
Look down at your body.
And see your body here awake on this glorious morning.
Place your hands over your heart.
And tell yourself thank you.
For taking the time out of your day to center your intention,
Get your mind right.
So that you can interact with this day and everyone you come in contact with with more presence,
Power,
And purpose.
