Let's set our intention together for the day.
And I hope before we start that you take a moment just to acknowledge yourself for showing up here.
Because this practice will set the tone for your entire day.
And I truly believe if everyone did this,
We would be living in a much kinder world.
And so this practice will be such a gift to yourself and to everyone you come in contact with.
I'm going to guide you through a three-step process to set your intention today.
And as you do this,
Just remember that your intention is all about getting clear on what will actually help you be the person that you want to be today.
Be the version of you that you want to be today.
Your intention is this clear way of telling your mind,
Your body,
And your nervous system,
This is who I want to be.
And so let's start by just getting comfortable in your body.
I'd like you to place one hand over the center of your chest and the other on top of that.
Relax your shoulders a little bit.
And close your eyes if you're comfortable doing so.
And you can always keep your eyes open if you'd like.
But try to close them if you can.
And then take a deep breath in.
And a breath out.
And to the count of three,
Inhale with me for one.
Three,
Hold for one.
3,
Exhale 1.
I'm going to slow it down a little bit.
Inhale once.
3.
Hold for 1 too.
3,
Exhale 1.
One more time,
Inhale one.
Three,
Hold for one.
Three,
Exhale once.
Now just.
.
.
Stay in this internal space and breathe normally.
And our first step.
Is to check in with what's real.
So before we set any intention,
Ask yourself.
How am I actually feeling today?
What kind of day am I waking up to?
What kind of responsibilities do I have today?
Without judging it.
Needing to change it.
Just ask yourself,
What's real for you today?
How are you showing up?
Right now,
Without needing to change anything.
Just be honest.
How are you?
Right now.
And then we move to our second step.
Which is choosing one clear energy.
That you want to bring into your day.
Just ask yourself.
What energy do I want to bring into my day?
Who do I want to be?
As I move through this day.
What is the energy I want to bring?
This is your intention.
And now we move to the third step.
Is to connect your intention to a real moment.
Or real moments that are coming into your day.
And so where might you need to use this intention today?
What might be happening in your day in the future today.
Where this intention would matter or help.
Where might you need this today?
And you can think of multiple things.
Take a deep,
Full breath in.
And a deep,
Full breath out.
And just repeat your intention in your mind as one clear sentence.
One clear sentence.
And once you have it.
Just tell yourself.
Today,
I will practice.
Bringing this energy and being this person.
Today I will practice.
Bringing this energy.
And being this person.
Go ahead and take a deep breath in.
And a deep breath out.
When you're ready.
I invite you to open your eyes.
Remember.
Intention setting.
Is about practicing.
Being the version of yourself.
That you have set out to be.
It's giving your brain and your nervous system and your energy a direction to go today.
And I hope today.
You remember to be kind with yourself.
Gentle with yourself as you practice this intention.
