Welcome to today's meditation,
Where you are going to unwind in the sunshine and ignite your inner light.
Today we will start by releasing some stress and aligning your nervous system,
Then we will open your solar plexus chakra,
Your center of light and power,
And then I will take you through a short series of self-reflective questions to deepen this practice.
Before we go into meditation,
I just want you to know that I am so grateful you are here.
And now let's go in.
Sit or lie down in your favorite,
Comfortable position and as you do,
Acknowledge that this time is all for you.
As you gently close your eyes,
Place your hands on your upper abdomen,
Feeling your belly rise and fall with each deep inhale and exhale.
Belly breathing,
Where you are focused on filling your belly with your inhales and releasing and letting go with your exhales,
Is a beautiful,
Natural practice to calm your nervous system.
As we stay here together,
Just breathing,
Try and equalize the timing,
The rhythm of your inhales and exhales,
Taking long,
Slow,
Deep breaths in and long,
Slow,
Deep breaths out.
I am going to count to 10 slowly as you continue to belly breathe at your own pace.
As I count,
Allow your mind,
Your body,
Your energy to get more and more relaxed.

Let's take another nice,
Deep breath together,
Bringing your focus back to your upper abdomen.
This is the home of your solar plexus,
Your energy center named Manipura,
Which translates to your inner city of jewels.
When your solar plexus energy is blocked or out of balance,
You feel depleted,
You lack confidence and motivation.
But when it is open and flowing and balanced,
You are filled with inner light,
That kind of light that radiates within and all around you.
You make powerful decisions with confidence,
You take on challenges,
And you have that aura of light around you that attracts even more light.
So let's spark this inner light,
And with your eyes still closed,
Together,
Let's watch the sunrise.
Before we go into this visualization,
I have a question for you.
If you could be anywhere in the world watching the sunrise right now,
Where would it be?
Wherever that is.
Put yourself there right now.
Create the scene in your mind.
Feel yourself there.
As you see and feel yourself in this special place,
Imagine that you are watching the horizon just moments before the sun begins to rise.
With each breath that you take,
Notice how the color of the sky is beginning to change from darkness to lighter shades of blues and greens.
The sky begins to add layers of purples,
Reds,
Pinks,
Oranges,
And finally a burst of yellow as the sunlight peaks over the edge of the earth.
As the sun rises,
Feel the sunlight upon your face.
Feel the touch of your skin warm your body,
Awakening everything inside and around you.
On your next inhale,
Draw this sunlight into your body,
Filling your abdomen,
Your solar plexus with its light.
Imagine each in-breath is opening this energy center more and more,
Each exhale releasing any blocks,
Any energy getting in the way of this light.
Follow my rhythm to embody this light and release what is ready to go.
Take in feelings of calmness and serenity.
Release tension and stress.
Take in the feelings of confidence.
Release doubts and fears.
Take in peace and harmony.
Let go of anger,
Pain,
Discomfort.
Take in vitality,
Energy,
Light,
And release any other energy that is ready to be set free.
Staying here,
Still feeling this sunlight upon you,
Around you,
And within you,
I'm going to ask you a few questions for self-reflection,
Giving you space between each.
Allow your answers to come to mind judgment-free,
Witnessing what comes to you in meditation.
Bring your awareness first into your mindset.
What adds more light to your mind,
To your thoughts?
What takes away from this light?
What depletes your mindset?
Take a nice deep breath and bring your attention into your body,
Into your physical self.
What brings more light to your body?
And now,
What depletes the light?
What takes away from your body?
Another nice deep breath.
Bring your awareness into your heart.
What adds more light to your heart?
And finally,
What takes away from the light in your heart?
And the final question,
Having been a witness to what adds light and what takes away from it in your mind,
Your body,
In your heart,
Are there any new healthy boundaries that you would like to set for yourself to protect,
Nourish,
And grow your inner light?
When your inner light is shining,
You radiate that energy.
You glow.
You add light and life to yourself and to everyone around you.
So taking time for yourself to release any discomfort,
Any blocks,
Any stuck energy creates space and reignites that inner flame.
To gently guide us out of meditation,
I am now going to count backwards from 10.
With each moment,
Softly bring yourself back into this present moment.
Fully embodying and embracing this inner light you have ignited.

When you are ready,
Gently open your eyes,
Noticing the way the light shines around you,
Feeling this inner light you have created within.
And together,
Let's set a mindful intention for this light.
