Children's (Or Inner Child) Water Slide Relaxation

Breath, body scans, and mindfulness create a relaxed atmosphere to imagine a water slide in the middle of the rainforest. This water slide can be as big or small as you would like it to be. Feel the warm rainforest air on your skin and ride the slide until you hear the sound of the bell.

Transcript

Find a comfortable position with your body.

Rest your head.

Take a deep breath in.

And let it go.

Two more.

Inhale through the nose.

Exhale through the mouth.

Full breath in.

Full breath out.

If it feels comfortable,

Close your eyes.

Soften your face.

Relax your shoulders.

And feel the air on your skin.

Imagine a big,

Bluish-green waterslide in the rainforest.

It's as big or small as you would like it to be.

You climb up the stairs next to the slide to the very top.

Take a look around and notice what surrounds you.

Watch the water move down the slide.

You can slide down on the count of three.

One,

Get ready.

Two,

Get set.

Three,

Go.

In front of you is a turn,

Then a twist.

The water cools you off from the warm rainforest air.

Please ride your waterslide until you hear the bell.

Take a deep breath in and out.

Start to wiggle your fingers and toes.

Make any small movement that feels comfortable for you.

When the sound of the bell stops for you,

We've finished our adventure.

My son loves the cover photo on the. Meditation. He really enjoyed wiggling his fingers and toes at the end. He said that his water slide reached the clouds.
