After using deep breathing, mindfulness and body awareness to soothe the body and mind we will begin to light up different parts of the body with a bright, golden calming light. We'll bring attention from the top of the head to the tips of our toes to relax each body part.

Transcript

Find a comfortable position with your body.

Let your head be heavy.

Take a deep breath in and let it go.

Two more.

Inhale through the nose.

Exhale through the mouth.

Full breath in.

Full breath out.

If it feels comfortable,

Close your eyes.

Relax the jaw,

Noticing if there is any extra tension there.

Allow the tongue to drop away from the roof of your mouth.

Feel the air on your skin as you begin to let the body relax deeply.

When the sense of relaxation is in the body,

Where do you feel it?

What do you notice?

Imagine a bright golden light.

Each time a body part is named,

Imagine lighting up that part with this bright golden light.

Feel the warmth of the light as it calms and relaxes you.

Breathe golden light into the top of the head.

Face,

Shoulders,

Chest,

Back,

Abdomen,

Arms,

Elbows,

Hands,

Fingers,

Thighs.

Knees,

Calves,

Heels,

Toes.

Feel the warmth and peace calmly wash over you.

Begin to notice the air moving in through your nostrils and out.

Light up your entire body with this beautiful bright golden light.

Take a part of your body that needs some extra attention today and light it up.

Hold the light as long as you need.

Take a few moments to allow the light in,

Even in areas that may be resistant.

Breathe it in and allow the light to find its way.

Start to wiggle your fingers and toes,

Making any small movements that feel comfortable for you.

Begin to blink your eyes open and come back to this moment with a new sense of peace and calm.

Very nice! Moving from one body part to the next was a little bit too fast for me but I still enjoyed this gentle break. 🙏🏻
