This guided imagery begins with deep breathing techniques, mindfulness, and body awareness. After bringing in a sense of calm to body and mind, imagine having your backpack on, and inside are all your worries and fears. Carrying this backpack is pretty heavy so you find a beautiful safe forest with a river nearby and dump out all your worries and fears.

Transcript

Find a comfortable position with your body.

Rest your head and let it be nice and heavy.

Soften your face and let your shoulders,

Legs,

And back relax completely.

Let your entire body get so heavy as you let go of any tension or tightness.

If it feels okay for you,

Close your eyes and get as comfortable as possible.

Take in a deep breath as you fill your belly up with air.

Exhale and let it all go.

Big breath in,

Big breath out.

One more.

Inhale as you fill up.

Exhale as you let your body and mind relax.

Imagine you have your backpack on.

Inside your backpack are all your worries and fears.

The backpack is so heavy because your fears and worries are weighing you down.

Look ahead of you and see a beautiful forest.

Walk into this safe forest with your backpack on.

Thank you🙏🏽 Julie for this marvelous mind story that places you inside your imagination of thoughts💭🤔, where all anxiety lives.😟 I love❤️ your reference to worries and fears being like twigs that accumulate in your backpack🎒and weigh you down, but can be dumped in the nearby river and carried away over the waterfall.🥰 This really caught my attention, because it’s actually what I’ve been doing all summer ... I go to the river and I meditate🧘🏽‍♀️ and I pray🙏🏽🙌🏽🤲🏽 whenever I get overwhelmed, overburdened, heavy hearted ... and it all begins to weigh me down ... I watch the water💦 flowing, carrying those twigs down the river. That’s when I connect with my Spirit💫 Guide, my mom, who transitioned to the spiritual realm earlier this year. She gets to be pretty funny sometimes😆, when she leads me back to my childhood. That’s what she did today!😂 So I thank you🙏🏽 for being the vehicle🚗 she used today to take me back to my childhood, where she would take my little brother👶🏽 and I👧🏽 on a journey through the enchanted forest🌳 and waterfalls💦 of Rock Creek Park. There, we could dump our backpacks🎒of worries and fears, and enjoy the festivities🥳 happening all around us! I can envision us now at the concerts in the Park, vibing to the music🎶 and enjoying each other’s company. Those were some of the most enjoyable and encouraging days of my life.🥰 I AM that I AM ... and today “that” is letting go of any and all anxiety that I’ve been carrying in my backpack🎒, and enjoying the peace and calm in the serenity of letting go. Namasté🙏🏽☺️ #dailymeditation #healthyveyebsmeditations #numbingsoulution #healthyveyebstribe #healthyveyebskids #anxietybackpack #healthyveyebsmusic #healthyveyebsdancing #lettinggoofworryandfear #theserenityoflettinggo
