Today's practice is a meditation that will help you create a magical space protected from the world.
A bubble of sacred energy that lives resides within.
A place that you can continue to create and go into where you'll find inner peace inside of your body,
Inside of your heart,
And that you can cultivate,
That you can continue to create for years.
The more you practice this,
The more you can cultivate that safe haven of stillness within.
On this particular monthly journey,
I invite you to practice it as much as you can,
Two to three times a week minimum.
And when you enter,
You let go of all of your worldly concerns as a commitment to yourself.
So I want you to find a safe,
Undisturbed place where you can set some boundaries,
Where you can lay still without anyone interrupting.
And when you're comfortably resting,
Become aware of the parts of your body that make contact with whatever is supporting you.
And I want you to imagine that you're in some place beautiful in nature,
Some magnificent natural environment.
And you can go anywhere,
A place that you've already been,
Perhaps a place that you want to go,
That you've only seen in photos.
Be creative here.
Choose a place that feels right to you.
As you create,
In your mind's eye,
I want you to take time to walk around and to really get to know your surroundings.
Are there mountains here?
Are they close?
Are they in the distance?
Is there a body of water,
A lake,
An ocean?
Are there trees,
A forest?
Allow yourself to take that time to walk around and get to know all that is here in this landscape,
In this nourishing place.
Explore and allow yourself to relax.
And as you walk around,
I want you to imagine that there is some kind of house or enclosed building,
Enclosed structure.
A structure that feels safe,
That feels sweet.
Your own sanctuary somewhere within this landscape.
Walk around this sanctuary,
This space.
It could be a cabin in the woods or a glass structure or building off a cliff.
It could be a temple or a hut on the beach.
This is your place to retreat to and close the door.
What does it look like?
Is there a garden around?
What are the surroundings?
Be creative with this structure that's yours.
And walk around the place.
Get to know it.
Is it hidden from view?
Is it secret?
What are the colors?
What is the size?
What surrounds your home?
See everything that you see.
Hear everything that you hear.
And feel everything that you feel.
And once you enter into this space,
Decorate it.
What would help you feel at home?
What would help you soothe yourself?
What would feel safe or inspiring?
Allow yourself to use your imagination to its fullest.
What are the colors that you would use?
What are the sounds within that space?
What are the textures?
Let every breath create this magical space for you.
This is your inner spacious sanctuary.
You can go at any moment that you need to step into a bubble of sacred energy that is yours to step out of the world.
Where you are protected from the world.
Where you are safe.
And you can always change or add or make this space more beautiful.
More inspiring.
More at home.
That every time you come and visit,
It becomes more and more magical.
More and more still.
Take the next few minutes to become as creative as you feel.
Gently and softly,
Allow yourself to leave this inner sanctuary within your heart.
A sanctuary that resides within you.
Feeling the parts of your body that make contact with whatever you are being supported by.
