This is the second in my Celtic Meditation series and is based on the water element: "Deep Peace of the running wave to you." It is a self-care relaxation meditation using guided imagery, self-care touch, and periods of silence guiding the listener to engage in memories where they may experience a deep and healing sensation of peace.

Welcome,

And thank you for joining me today in this second of my Celtic Blessing Meditation series,

As we focus on the water element and the deep peace that can flow from this life-giving force of nature.

We'll take our first few moments just getting completely relaxed before we begin,

Creating a firm foundation of deep peace of the quiet earth from our first meditation in this series,

Like the firm foundation the earth provides around our homes,

And the equivalent sensation of that in our bodies when we allow our lower body to support us in meditation.

And for now,

Please rest your self-care hands on the tops of your upper legs.

And then bring your awareness to your shoulders and allow them to relax and completely drop into this comfortable position.

Arms fully relaxed also.

And then begin to take a slower breath into this position.

And another slower and deeper breath this time.

Feeling our body wanting to relax and enjoy this deeper sensation of peace that we can find when we take the time to relax.

And just one more slower and deeper breath.

Lower jaw opening slightly,

Mouth closed,

Shoulders softening,

Eyes closing.

And then breathing normally and easily.

And just take a luxurious moment for yourself in this position now to completely settle before we begin our time together.

Breathing easily.

And letting your body and mind speak to you of how you were feeling.

And listening with your next breath in and out.

Breathing into this awareness in your own quietness.

As I say the words,

Deep peace of the running wave to you,

You may already have imagery of a body of water coming to you from somewhere in your memory.

Somewhere you have enjoyed being in the past,

Perhaps.

It could be a river,

A lake,

A stream,

An ocean or even a pond.

Notice what imagery is coming to you now.

As we take time to remember somewhere special where a body of water has left a positive impression with you.

And just secure this memory now by imagining yourself standing at the edge of this water source.

And now look all around you into the space that surrounds you in your memory of this location.

Recalling some of the detail from this place.

And then look for a comfortable place where you can sit down close to the water as closely as you can safely be.

And smile,

Noticing how it feels to be here in this place by the water that still holds meaning for you.

Remembering this now in the quietness of stillness.

As I leave you for a few moments so you can just enjoy this reconnection with the deep peace of the running wave from your memories until you hear my voice again.

Try this functions simply as we do.

Ladies and gentlemen,

Let's take aInto Awakened expression for this diner.

And now please imagine that someone very special to you from your memory is sitting down beside you,

Eager to listen to you now as you describe your special memory of this place,

Perhaps relaying a story from the past as I leave you both together for a few moments.

And now while your visitor is still present with you,

Gaze across the water before you,

Noticing its movement or lack of movement,

And perhaps imagining what time of day it is,

If you can see the sun overhead and how the light is reflecting on the water.

Can you feel its deep peace as you feast your eyes on this memory for a little longer?

Enjoying the preciousness of this moment that is unfolding for you,

Breathing it in as you both sit by the water's edge in stillness now.

Intentionally breathing deep peace in and out as you remember these images and how they make you feel.

Breathing with intention on your own,

Breathing peace,

Deep peace in and out.

And then turn your head to the right and look into the distance,

Focusing on the shoreline for as far as you can see in your memory of this place.

Noticing what's there.

And then turn your head to look in the opposite direction to the left and see what is there as you follow the water's edge until it disappears from sight.

Your visitor is getting up to leave now in gratitude for sharing this time together with you.

With your next in-breath,

I'd like you to breathe as though you were breathing into the strength of this imagery in your mind.

The imagery of the quiet earth of this solid foundation of shoreline and the peacefulness that seems to flow in joining the water element all along the shoreline with the earth element.

And the sounds that arise from this mix of earth,

Water,

And air elements offering healing energy to all who take the time to stop.

Notice and sense the peacefulness as you are doing now.

And notice how your body is feeling.

How is your body reacting to this?

I'd like you to move your self-care hands from your thighs to place them over whatever feeling you may be noticing in your body now.

And let your hands acknowledge this feeling and support your memory of this place.

Just relax your hands into that place,

Palms touching your body lightly.

And then relax your body around this new position you're holding.

Relaxing your shoulders and arms and hands also,

Your face and your lower jaw.

And just enjoy the moment,

Savoring every aspect of how it feels throughout your body mind and your spirit soul.

Breathe it in.

And with your physical hands still resting on your body and your imagery of still sitting by the edge of the water,

I'd like you to see yourself there placing one or both of your hands into the water now and cupping them around some water that you are trying to lift up to your face to feel the water slipping through your fingers and running down your lower arms as you touch the droplets to your cheeks,

Feeling its temperature.

And then seeing yourself holding out your wet hands and arms with your palms facing upwards for the sun and the air to dry them again,

Waving your arms about to let them dry more quickly.

And then moving your self-care hands to the part of your body that is feeling the effects of this pleasurable time by the water's edge and noticing where you're putting them is at the same place that you have your hands resting on your body or is it somewhere else?

You may wish to move your hands at this point and just breathe into this pleasurable experience.

And before you leave the water's edge to return home,

I'd like you to bring your self-care hands together now in front of your chest with palms touching and give thanks to the deep peace of the running wave before you in the imagery you have been enjoying as though you are sending this blessing of peace across the distance of the water wherever you've been to the shoreline on the other side anywhere in the world.

Imagining that someone out there is needing to receive your thoughts of peace today and that they are receiving it now.

And just enjoy the feeling that flows from your blessing as much as you have enjoyed sending it.

They are enjoying the feeling as much as you have in sending it and the connection that is there and the connection that is there between you even though you do not know who you are sending it to.

Deep peace of the running wave to you and smile into this experience all prompted by your memory of this special place.

Smile and breathe thanks for your ability to visit again so freely.

And with your next in-breath see yourself easily transported back to the physical space in your home that is supporting you like the earth element and just rest here for a moment aware of the experience you've had smiling outwardly and inwardly as you allow your experience to just wash over you like the peace of the running wave.

Deepening your experience of peace in this moment now as we pause for another few seconds together.

And then give yourself a gentle stretch with your arms moving slowly upwards and slowly down again.

Opening your eyes only when you're ready and carrying the Celtic blessing with you into your day.

Deep peace of the running wave to you.

Please remember to be kind,

Loving,

And gentle with yourself.
