Hello and welcome to today's meditation.
My name is Joy.
Today's theme is loving kindness.
It's become comfortable here now adjusting the posture as needed to experience this relaxing meditation.
Take a moment now to just settle and relax.
Close down the eyes.
Loving kindness is mentally sending goodwill,
Kindness and warmth towards yourself and others.
Today we will focus on loving kindness towards yourself.
Loving kindness meditation increases positive emotions and decreases negative thoughts and feelings.
Bring loving kindness into your meditation today.
Become aware of your breath.
The in-breath and the out-breath.
Just observe it without forcing or judging.
Observe the flow of the breath.
Take three deep breaths in and out,
Allowing yourself to relax more and more on each exhale.
Allow the breath to return to its natural rhythm.
Allow the breath to return to its natural rhythm.
Bring yourself into the present moment.
Allow the past to be the past,
The future to be the future.
Know you are safe in this moment right now.
Bring your awareness to the top of your head and allow relaxation to cascade down your face.
Allow your eyes to become heavy.
Relax your cheeks and jaw.
Allow your tongue to find its place,
Resting on the roof of your mouth.
Drop your shoulders and allow them to fall away from the neck.
Relax the arms and hands.
Return your focus to the breath and notice the rise and fall of the chest with each inhale and exhale.
If any thoughts or feelings arise,
Just return your attention to your breath.
This beautiful life force energy flowing throughout the body.
Allow for relaxation in the belly and the hips.
Melting into the surface below,
Feeling fully supported.
Relaxation now flows down through the legs all the way to the feet.
Feeling relaxed from the top of your head to the tips of your toes,
As if you were wrapped in a warm blanket of relaxation.
Continue to focus on the breath in this deep state of relaxation as you now relax into the breath and the intention of loving kindness.
Repeat the following affirmations silently.
May I be happy.
May I be safe.
May I be healthy,
Peaceful and strong.
May I give and receive appreciation today.
Feel into the relaxing,
Loving energy of your breath and loving kindness.
Continue to breathe in and breathe out and take your focus to your heart space.
As you sit in the stillness and the silence of this loving kindness for a few moments.
May I give and receive appreciation today.

Begin to bring yourself back into the room.
And taking into your day this feeling of loving kindness.
And when you are ready,
Open your eyes.
