The world needs you to pursue your dreams, since that's what keeps the world moving forward. Letting go isn’t the end of the world, it’s the beginning of a new life. Walt Disney said: “Around here, we don't look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors, and doing new things… and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.” Bring the intention of moving forward to this meditation.

Hello and welcome to today's meditation.

My name is Joy.

Today's theme is moving forward.

Let's become comfortable here now,

Adjusting the posture as needed to experience this relaxing meditation.

Take a moment now to just settle and relax.

Close the eyes.

The world needs you to pursue your dreams,

Since that's what keeps the world moving forward.

There are things that we never want to let go of,

People we never want to leave behind.

But keep in mind that letting go isn't the end of the world,

It's the beginning of a new life.

Walt Disney said,

Around here we don't look backwards for very long.

We keep moving forward,

Opening up new doors and doing new things.

And curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.

Bring the intention of moving forward to this meditation.

Become aware of your breath.

Focus on the in and the out breath.

Just observing without judging or forcing.

Observe the flow of the breaths through the body.

Take three deep breaths in and out,

Allowing yourself to relax more and more on each exhale.

Return your breathing to its natural rhythm.

Bring yourself into the present moment.

Allow the past to be the past,

The future to be the future.

Know you are safe in this moment right now.

Accept this moment right here,

Right now.

Bring your awareness to the top of your head and allow relaxation to cascade down your face.

Allow your eyes to become heavy.

Relax your cheeks and your jaw.

Allow your tongue to find its place resting on the roof of your mouth.

Drop the shoulders and allow them to fall away from your neck.

Relax the arms and hands.

Return your focus to the breath and notice the rise and fall of the chest with each inhale and exhale.

If any thoughts or feelings arise,

Just return your attention to your breath.

This beautiful life force energy flowing throughout your body.

Allow for relaxation in the belly and the hips as you melt into the surface below,

Feeling supported.

Relaxation now flows down through the legs all the way to the feet.

Experiencing relaxation now from the top of the head to the tips of the toes as if you are wrapped in a warm blanket of relaxation.

Continue to focus on the breath in this deep state of relaxation as you bring your awareness to the intention of moving forward.

Be willing to let go of the life you planned so as to have the life that is waiting for you.

Rehashing the past will not change anything.

Know it is now time to move forward.

You don't have to burn any bridges to let go.

You don't have to destroy anything.

You can just decide to cross over and move forward.

Continue to breath in and breath out for a few moments here as you reflect on the intention to move forward.

When disappointment causes my mind to believe I have made a wrong decision I slide back into negative thinking. When I saw this meditation today, I saw hope. It has renewed my belief in myself. I'm now seeing I can move forward in my attitude and all is not lost.
