Hello and welcome to today's meditation.

My name is Joy.

Today's theme is releasing stress.

Let's become comfortable here now adjusting the posture as needed to experience this relaxing meditation.

Take a moment now to just settle and relax.

Close the eyes.

Worry happens in your mind,

Stress happens in your body and anxiety happens in your mind and your body.

Learning to effectively manage stress can be one of the very important steps toward boosting your well-being and the well-being of those around you.

Letting go and accepting what is allows for you to release stress.

A regular daily meditation practice can restore your calm and inner peace and reduce stress and increase well-being.

Bring your attention to your breath.

The in-breath and the out-breath.

Just observe without forcing or judging.

Observe the flow of the breath through the body.

One of the most effective ways of releasing stress is through the breath.

Just by taking in deep breaths allows for the body to relax and for you to become present and mindful.

Take three deep breaths in and out allowing yourself to relax more and more on each exhale.

Return your breath to its natural rhythm.

Bring yourself into the present moment.

Allow the past to be the past,

The future to be the future.

Know you are safe in this moment right now.

Let's begin now to release stress from the body.

Bring your awareness to the top of your head and allow relaxation to cascade down your face.

Allow your eyes to become heavy.

Relax your cheeks and your jaw.

Allow the tongue to find its place resting on the roof of the mouth.

Drop the shoulders and allow them to fall away from your neck.

Relax the arms and hands.

Return your focus to the breath and notice the rise and fall of the chest with each inhale and exhale.

If any thoughts or feelings arise just return your attention to your breath.

This beautiful life force energy.

Allow for relaxation in the belly and the hips.

Melting into the surface below feeling fully supported.

Relaxation now flows down through the legs all the way to the feet.

If there are any areas of the body that need to relax and release tension just do a body scan now and allow that tension to be released on each exhale.

Imagine yourself breathing in calm,

Breathing out tension as you scan the body.

Allow the body to be relaxed from the top of the head all the way down to the tips of the toes as if you're wrapped in a warm blanket of relaxation.

Continue to focus on the breath in this deep state of relaxation as you now relax into the breath and the intention of peace and calm allowing any tension from the body be released.

Inhale into the relaxing loving energy of your breath as the mind and body are now calm and peaceful.

Continue to breathe in and breathe out as you relax here for a few moments in this beautiful place of calm and peace.

Begin to bring yourself back into the room.

And take with you into the day this feeling of calm and peace knowing any time you need to release any tension or stress from the body all you need to do is take in three deep breaths and when you're ready open your eyes.
