Thank you for making this time to reset.
Maybe you wanted to go to something that's destructive,
Or you wanted to numb yourself,
Or do the things you do when you're triggered,
But you don't want to do those things anymore.
You've learned how to make a turn,
And today you've made that turn.
You're here with me now.
You're looking to reset and re-center.
And let's start by becoming very aware of where you are right now.
Noticing the space you're in,
Place you're in,
The moment in time you're in.
If you want,
Do some tapping,
Or wiggle your fingers,
Wiggle your toes,
Shift your eye movements.
Very present.
And now breathe in,
Breathe out,
Continuing to take deep breaths,
Allowing your exhale to be longer than your inhale.
And even saying now,
I am here.
Say your name,
Say where you are,
Describe it as best you can.
And continue your deep,
Soothing breaths,
Noticing the muscles in your body relaxing,
Noticing your emotions coming back to neutral.
Taking more deep breaths,
Letting each one help you reset to where you are centered,
Non-reactive,
And at ease.
Anchoring yourself even more,
And now picturing for yourself,
What does reset look like for you?
What does it mean to start over?
Continuing your exhalations longer than your inhales.
Again,
What does this reset mean for you?
And as you put yourself in a position,
Mind,
Body,
And spirit of centeredness,
Affirm to yourself how you will hold this with you,
And carry this with you,
And keep it with you,
As you go through your day,
Your night,
Your week,
Your life.
