Begin by getting comfortable.
I'd prefer you lay down for today's practice,
But if you'd like to sit up with your back supported,
That's okay too.
Today's meditation is intended to guide you into a deeply relaxed state,
Which allows your body to release stress and gives your nervous system a break from the stress of daily living.
Try not to fall asleep and instead focus on entering a deeply relaxed state,
Working to let go of anything you may be bringing into the session today.
When you're ready,
Close your eyes.
If that doesn't feel comfortable for you,
Then close them part ways and bring your gaze to the tip of your nose.
Now that you're comfortable,
Start by taking a deep,
Full inhale.
And as you exhale,
Pay attention to how your body feels.
Are you tight anywhere?
Is there tension in your jaw,
Your back,
Your hips?
Where is your body asking for support?
Inhale fully again,
Filling the belly up with air.
On your exhale,
Fully and slowly empty the belly.
I want you to give yourself permission to relax.
Allow the ground below you to support you,
However and wherever you need to be supported.
Trust that the ground will keep you safe and imagine yourself letting go and melting into the floor.
Let the earth hold you.
How does it feel to be supported?
How does it feel to trust that you can let go and know that you're going to be okay right now in this moment?
Taking this time to intentionally breathe is a practice of self-love.

These are all practices of self-love.

I want you to focus on extending your inhales and exhales just a little bit longer.

Just breathe fully,
Filling up the belly on the inhale,
Completely emptying the belly on the exhale.
Slow and steady,
Just going deeper in and out of the belly.
If you catch your mind wandering,

Just bring it back to the rise and fall of the belly.
