Hello and welcome.
This meditation is inspired by someone in the community who asked the question about feeling more negativity in the evening than in the morning and why that might be and what she might be able to do about it.
So this meditation is a practice of cleansing your energy.
It is said that in the morning negative forces come in and it is something for us to immediately begin to be aware of and to cleanse ourselves and then throughout the day we are able to release that negative energy.
Now sometimes for some of us it might be in reverse.
We might be someone who is more empathic,
Taking on other people's negativity and then we might be like that sweet person in the community who asked the question.
So I want to encourage you also to ask questions in the comments or messaging me directly and if it is something that I feel that we all could benefit from,
I'll create a meditation just like this one.
So I'd like you to make yourself comfortable,
Adjusting yourself so that you can feel both relaxed at ease but also alert and aware,
Lengthening through your spine but relaxing through your shoulders,
Letting your jaw be loose and soft and feeling your feet planted firmly on the ground or tucked underneath you and then beginning to cleanse by lengthening the breath,
Breathing in long through the nose,
Feeling the belly expand,
The rib cage expand,
The heart open and then exhale slow like you're landing into your body and into this space of refresh.
You'll take another breath just like that,
Breathing in long and slow through the nose,
Feeling the breath fill the body and then as you exhale,
Releasing external noise,
Coming into a space within you that is sacred,
That is safe.
You might even imagine that there is a golden doorway at the space of your heart and you your attention to this golden door and already noticing that it might be so tempting to open it and you don't have to stop yourself.
You can open that door and as you do,
Seeing that there is a golden light that is coming out from the door and that is moving through your body,
Beginning to fill the cavity of your heart space,
Your chest,
Let it expand across your shoulders and down your arms,
This golden light,
You might even notice if there is a sparkle or shimmer or if it's more translucent.
I want you to imagine that this golden light can fill your entire body and as it does,
Letting it feel good,
Letting it be an energy cleanse so that any energy that isn't yours,
Anything you may have taken on that is less than the energy of perfection,
Which is simply the energy of wholeness,
Beauty and love that is innately yours.
And this golden light energy supports a relaxation of your muscles,
A softening of the shoulders,
Releasing tension at the neck,
And perhaps it even feels light.
The heaviness that may have been here before,
It's gone.
It's like the weight has been lifted.
You might even imagine that there are angels with you who help you to fly.
And as you fly,
You can receive more light that the gold becomes brighter or glistens more.
And as you receive more light,
That light naturally glows from you.
And you can see yourself moving through your day,
No longer taking on other people's darkness,
But sharing out this light.
I'd like you to imagine that you could wrap others in this golden light energy,
And maybe they can choose to receive it in their vessel,
Or simply they aren't able to transmute any negativity.
You wouldn't be able to take on their judgments and their expectations.
You wouldn't be able to experience their limitations and let that feel good,
Or even just neutral.
And you can let this golden light and this feeling that you've cultivated stay with you.
And if you forget,
You can simply close your eyes for a moment in your day,
Bring your attention to the space of your heart,
See that golden door,
And imagine yourself opening it again.
And taking this last moment,
Just to internally thank yourself.
Thank you for returning.
Thank you for presence.
Thank you for trust.
Thank you for showing up again and again,
Especially when it's difficult.
I'm taking a long breath in,
Release it out.
And when you feel ready,
You can open your eyes,
And let them land softly on a color or texture somewhere in your space,
And take a breath.
And then letting your eyes land somewhere else in your space on a color or texture.
Taking another breath,
And then stretching the corners of your lips up towards your ears.
Until next time,
I'll see you soon.
You've got this.
