Let's begin.
Close your eyes.
Take a few deep breaths and let go of any tension.
Imagine a sense of calm enveloping you.
As you begin your visualization practice,
With each swing you will continue to be more and more relaxed and you will feel deeper and deeper into this meditation,
Allowing your subconscious to be programmed through the power of visualization.
And as I say relax,
You are feeling much more relaxed,
Much more calm,
Much more confident,
And much more focused in your imagination.
And as you are relaxed now I want you to picture yourself at a driving range.
You see out onto the range and notice various flags that indicate specific yardages to aim for.
You are relaxed in your body and also excited to work on your iron play today.
As you also begin to have a feeling of confidence rise in your mind and body.
You are now ready to begin your practice of swinging various irons for perfect precision to the targets.
You see yourself analyzing the yardage and selecting the appropriate iron for 100 yards away.
Feel the weight of the club in your hands,
Confident in your choice.
You set up for your shot,
Feet properly aligned,
Grip relaxed yet firm,
Body posture balanced.
Imagine the feeling of stability and readiness as you are relaxed,
Confident,
And focused.
Look at your target one more time and visualize the ball landing right where you are aiming on the range 100 yards away.
Now as you swing,
Feel into the moment of contact,
The crisp impact that sends the ball soaring as you watch it take off on the precise trajectory that you visualized.
You see the ball land exactly where you aimed.
Now move through various yardages,
One shot at a time,
But because you are relaxed and focused and confident,
You can go through this visualization one after the other,
Shot after shot,
Not in a hurry,
But in a succession where you can literally feel and see these shots effortlessly going at the targets of all distances between 100 and 200 yards.
With each repetition,
Know you have the right club for the distance,
Visualize the target,
And feel into the consistency of your swing,
Knowing the ball is going to go exactly where you intended to go.
Relax and repeat again and again,
And each shot hits the target perfectly as intended.
And as each one lands,
You are relaxing more and more into the confidence and focus that you possess.
This confidence is growing inside of you as you repeat swing after swing,
Hitting target after target,
And you are relaxed and calm and sure of yourself and sure of your game as you relax more and more into each repetitive swing.
You hear the sound of the club striking the ball in the center of the clubface again and again.
You see the perfect divots in the ground in the practice box in front of you.
You are in a zone,
And it feels so good to see your shots hitting target after target as you switch clubs,
Switch targets,
But keep the momentum and relaxed mindset of this perfect practice.
Continue swinging and practicing.
You notice the slight breeze and feel the clean air and remember this is part of why you love this game.
Enjoying nature and noticing just how good you feel to be taking this time for yourself,
To feel this satisfying feeling of relaxing and hitting excellent golf shots,
All the while enjoying each moment and grateful for each moment that golf brings you.
And as you are relaxed in this meditation,
You go back to focusing on hitting shot after shot with precision,
With a smooth,
Comfortable,
Repetitive swing.
Embrace the sensation of your body moving in harmony with the club as you are relaxed and confident while delivering accurate shots one after the other.
Trust this connection between you,
The club,
And the ball as you continue to repeat many confident and precise swings.
These repetitions and relaxation and confidence that you have right now will be accessed by your subconscious when you step onto the course and you will carry this sense of precision,
Of relaxation,
Of confidence,
And of focus with you naturally and knowingly.
And as you conclude the visualization,
You feel a strong sense of gratitude for the opportunity to refine your iron play mentally and know confidently that this is contributing to your growth as a golfer with each repetition and each perfect swing and each perfect placement of the ball to the intended target.
