Hello this is Jen and thank you for joining me today.
I invite you to get comfortable in a space where you can relax and won't be disturbed.
Allowing your body to settle in whether sitting or lying down whatever feels good.
Just allow all your muscles from your head to your toes to soften and become still and at ease.
And if you haven't already and it feels good to do so go ahead and close your eyes and just sink into the surface where you are resting and take a moment to pay attention to your breath.
Take a moment to notice how everything is feeling.
Try not to judge yourself in any way and even try to bring in gratitude and be thankful for all that you are.
Let's take a few mindful breaths.
Slowly inhale filling your lungs completely and fully and now slowly exhale all the way out.
And let's repeat that slowly inhale fully and mindfully and exhale all the way out.
And now let your breath find its own natural rhythm unforced and easy.
In these next few moments I want to share with you some thoughts about the winter season.
Just let these words float around in the air.
Winter may be a low season for many people.
The word alone may bring dread to many hearts.
Winter's reputation is often one of being harsh,
Uninviting and dark.
However if we shift our perspective we can view winter as bright,
Inviting and pristine.
There is a serenity to the season,
A calm stillness.
Winter offers us peace,
A time to be quiet and reflect,
Encouraging us to go within and to find solace and contentment.
Winter invites us to take a break from the noise and the hurrying and assists us in focusing on the beauty of what is.
There is a confident solitude that winter offers,
A discreet and warm embrace,
A crisp vitality and a silent charm.
Let us bundle up and step outside and breathe in this beautiful season of winter.
And when you feel ready slowly move around and wiggle your hands and feet and gently move your head from side to side.
Take a nice long inhale and a full complete exhale and open your eyes.
Namaste.
