Welcome back everyone.
I hope you can hear me okay over the crash of the waves.
This is Jessie here to reflect on savoring sound.
Savoring sound with a brain injury isn't easy.
I know sometimes I shy away from sound,
And you might do too.
And I've found over time it's a practice to doing my best to think of sound,
Or rather thinking of what we sometimes call noise as sound.
Because the word noise really is just our interpretation.
So in this case our intention today is to savor sound.
And I invite you here wherever you are.
If you're in Inuktuk or Inchon,
Innsbruck,
Indianapolis,
Welcome.
Welcome to this savoring of sound.
So I'm by the ocean,
And I'm just going to walk a little bit closer as the waves swell this evening.
And in a moment I'm just going to invite you to listen.
Maybe put in your earbuds where the sound is even better.
And allow the sound to wash over your body.
Imagine that like me your feet are on the wet sand.
And smell the sea breeze and see the waves crashing.
I'm walking now with my feet in the water,
Getting closer to the crashing waves.
If you feel yourself tensed against it,
Try to let it go.
You're going to feel yourself in the water.
You're going to feel yourself in the water.
You're going to feel yourself in the water.
You hear the sound?
I have no idea how this recording will sound.
But I hope you've enjoyed a few minutes of beautiful ocean wave sound.
