Namaste dear one.
This is J Chodakam.
I thank you for joining me in this practice to welcome the new year with positivity.
When the new year begins it is the first blank page of a 365 page book.
So let us write a good one.
Last year's words belong to last year's language and next year's words await another voice.
Do not wait until the conditions are perfect to begin.
Beginning makes the conditions perfect.
So if you reflect back on the year and you do not like something,
Change it.
If you can't change the physical attributes,
Change your attitude.
Deep down inside each of us there is a voice,
A longing,
A calling to depth.
That's our heart and it's reminding us to visit,
Explore and express the depths of ourselves.
Going deep and being deep requires time spent in solitude,
Some periods of introversion,
A conversation with oneself.
Now for the next 10 minutes or so leave aside all distractions.
There's nowhere more important to be,
Nothing more important to do.
This is your time to usher in the new year with positivity.
So make sure that there will not be any interruptions of any kind,
Especially turn off those electronic notifications.
You could be doing this practice seated on a chair,
Cross-legged on the floor or even lying down.
In either case make sure that there's an alignment between your head,
Neck and spine.
Rest your arms either on your lap on your knee or next to you.
Relax your face,
Drop the jaw,
Leave the shoulders to hang and relax your entire body.
Now gently close your eyes as you bring your awareness to your breath.
Taking in nice deep inhales down into the belly and as you exhaling letting it all out.
Breath brings you to the present moment,
To the here and now.
Most of the world operates under the model have,
Do,
Be.
If you have something then you go do something and therefore you feel or be a certain way.
Now let's flip that on its head to be,
Do,
Have.
So let's begin with the being which shows up in our actions,
What we do and therefore what we receive.
I'm gonna speak certain affirmations now and I want you to feel these affirmations in every cell of your body.
I have enough.
I do enough.
I am enough.
I let go of what I do not need.
The world is beautiful and all is well.
My body is a source of calmness.
I choose to feel at peace.
Let it be.
All experiences are helping me grow.
Where I am is where I am meant to be.
Around me and within me I find stillness.
I am grateful for this time to sit in silence.
I am in complete control of my emotions.
I am capable.
I love and approve of myself.
All I need comes to me when I need it.
My life grows more beautiful.
I allow myself to be happy.
I am surrounded by love and support.
I am comfortable in my own skin.
I welcome all forms of positivity into my life.
I will let you sit in silence enjoying the sweet stillness of the now until you hear my voice again.
Thoughts are so powerful that no matter if you think positively or negatively,
You will eventually become what you ponder.
I thank you for joining me in this practice.
This is J Chodakam wishing you a calm and effective successful new year.
Namaste.
