Hello and welcome to the Building Healthy Habits Challenge here on Insight Timer.
During this challenge,
You're getting to know a wide range of different wellness techniques and self-care practices to help you craft a routine that works for you.
My name is Jason McGrice and today I'll be introducing you to the practice and benefits of the hands-on healing mortality of Reiki.
Originating out of Japan,
Reiki is an elegant technique of channeling unconditional love into the body by connecting to Source.
Reiki can be used to calm the nervous system,
Soothe and support anxiety,
Physical or mental stress,
Grief and other emotional polarities and energetic disturbances.
It can also be worked with to powerfully heal physical ailments or diseases and assists in providing an energetic boost to the body,
Mind and spirit.
Reiki can play an important role in our overall wellbeing by providing a highly intentional daily practice to heal oneself or another.
The art of Reiki does require an attunement ceremony to become certified and proficient in the modality,
Especially when gifting it to others.
Today I'll be your guide as we safely explore this pure channel to Source.
Take a couple of nice deep breaths into your body and acquaint yourself with the energy that you have brought here today.
Is there anything that you wish to leave at the door before we start today's session?
And equally if not more important,
Is there any particular energy or intention you wish to bring into today's session?
I'll give you a moment to circumnavigate your heart and mind and arrive in an intention focused position to begin.
My intention today is to bring healing to my physical body and also clarity to my mind.
I invite you to take both of your hands into the prayer position and place them at your heart center.
Here we are going to call in a divine white light from the highest realms of this universe to envelop you in an energetic layer of protection.
It is important to know that you are safe here.
The energy that we are connecting with today we call in for the highest good of yourself and humanity.
All you have to do here is surrender and receive.
I call in the divine energy of Reiki from the highest realms of this universe.
In your mind's eye you may picture,
See,
Feel or imagine these beautiful threads of gold and white light pouring down from beyond the stars.
Interlocking and weaving,
Dancing as it descends.
The Reiki energy touches upon your crown and invites the body to open.
All you have to do here is surrender to its healing,
Unconditional love and light.
Let the energy wash into your body.
I will invite you to take both of your hands from the prayer position and place them on your body.
You may wish to place one hand on your heart space and the other on your belly.
Or if there is a particular physical injury,
Emotional upset or dis-ease that you feel within your body,
Place your hands there.
This informs the universe of your intention and of your desire to heal these elements.
More and more light enters through the crown.
Organising,
Archiving all of your memories and thoughts into clarity.
This light floods down through your face,
Neck,
Spine,
Down your shoulders into your heart space.
From your very big open wide heart space it recirculates and regenerates,
Again flowing up through your shoulders,
Down through your hands,
Beaming back into your body once more.
Recirculating and constantly uplifting.
Leaning into the sensations upon the crown as well as the subtleties and warmth in your hands and fingertips.
This unconditional love moves you.
Golden white light washing down through your body.
Entering every limb,
Every organ,
Entering all blood vessels.
Melting down through the genitals,
The legs.
The divine golden white light penetrates into the earth.
Connecting with the earth mother.
You see this incredible third person view of yourself,
Divinely connect from above.
Connected and rooted within the earth.
And you in between as a conduit of healing light.
Reiki is a Japanese word when translated meaning spiritual wisdom and life force energy.
Allow the divine intelligence of Reiki to do exactly what it is here to do.
Throwing energy into balance.
This is its superpower.
I'm going to leave you for a few minutes.
I'll let you rest with the divine.

Please do so.
Follow your intuition here.
