
Self Love For The Feminine
This is a gentle and heartfelt self care practice that holds space to embrace all of the beautifully unique curves and angles of your body. Use this track often to release negativity surrounding body image and self talk to elevate you into a space of unconditional love for the self.
Transcript
Arriving in a comfortable position,
Either sitting or lying,
Start by welcoming your physical body into this stillness practice today.
Thanking yourself for showing up here,
Honoring the time that you have set aside for self-care.
With your palms open wide,
Facing upward to the sky,
Take three breaths inward,
Feeling yourself creating space within your body.
Breathe awareness into the divine temple that is your physical.
Sending waves of air down to the base of your belly.
Breathing in through your nose,
Belly rise.
Exhale,
Belly falls.
Breathing in through your nose,
Belly rise.
Exhale,
Belly falls.
Breathing in through the nose,
Belly rise.
Exhale,
Belly falls.
As this breath massages your body,
Breathe into the full expression of you.
Every angle,
Every curve,
Every finger,
Every toe.
Breathe into areas of tightness,
Tension and emotion.
Releasing all that does not support you here today.
Competitive negative thoughts about yourself,
Harsh self-talk or continual comparisons with your external world.
In this space today,
You release all of that energetic baggage.
Today you stop the soul eroding habit and look toward yourself with kindness,
With self-love and a depth of support that you have been looking for in others.
Today you take a step forward toward owning each beautifully unique facet of yourself.
With the next purposeful three deep breaths,
Breathing down into the base of your belly,
Diffuse each wave of air with these energetically charged words.
Ascend unconditional love into my body and into my experience within this body.
I am grateful for my body,
For what it allows me to do daily.
I fill my body with this breath to cleanse,
To clear,
To detoxify and nourish myself from the inside out.
Send those breaths around your body so that each cell can hear the words of unconditional love and support.
Visualizing yourself standing bare in front of a full length mirror,
Your eyes closed,
Your hands open wide facing your reflection.
Your inner and outer worlds dancing back and forth.
Keep your nourishing breath flowing in and out of your body,
Continually cleansing,
Clearing and detoxifying.
You are safe dear one.
You are loved and supported far more than you realize.
Opening and looking out through your mind's eye,
The center of your forehead.
Looking deeper into your body,
Through the skin,
Connecting to the beautiful energy that resides within you.
Visualize or imagine the swirls of colors and their interactions with the external.
Taking a moment to watch and appreciate their show of lights.
Bringing awareness to the light inside of your heart.
Intuitively connecting to the color of rose quartz,
A soft pale pink.
An energy that cultivates and amplifies love and compassion of self.
Energetically open your eyes in that realm to look into the mirror at your physical body.
Filter your thoughts,
Judgments,
Perceptions and comparisons through your heart space.
Reaffirming your open palms,
Sending waves of unconditional love into the mirror,
Into you.
Let this high vibrational energy melt all negative emotions from lack of confidence,
Non-acceptance of self,
Anxiety,
Guilt,
Depression,
Resentment,
Negativity towards your appearance or skin,
Comparisons of body shape or ability.
Beam this unconditional love into all thought conditioning,
Stemming from not feeling worthy of living a particular way or feeling deserved of being happy.
Today,
You drop this negativity that you picked up along your journey.
Today,
You stand in front of this mirror and say out loud,
I love you.
I accept you.
I respect you.
I love you.
You may say this as many times as needed until every cell in your body feels the energetic shift to transform,
Open up and balance.
Watch the colours and energetic swirls flood around your body,
Exchanging beautifully and seamlessly between you and the outside world.
Emotions may run within this realm.
No longer holding in what is being compounded upon time and time again.
Set them free.
Set yourself free.
I love you.
I accept you.
I respect you.
I love you.
Allow the open,
Heartfelt energy to settle and for you to call yourself back into the full expression of your beautiful body.
This level of self-care sparked a new heightened awareness to the energy that you allow in and around your body.
Be kind to yourself whilst transitioning through this integrational stage.
Bring the same level of awareness and care to the thoughts that you think,
The nourishing,
Wholesome food that you fuel your body with,
The fresh,
Clean,
Crisp water that you drink,
The relationships you keep with friends,
Family and loved ones.
Honouring yourself to know that you deserve to feel awake and alive each day.
You deserve time to exercise or to take that class that you have been longing to get to.
You deserve time to take for yourself to sit in your own company,
Away from technology,
To rest,
Repair and connect to you.
You deserve all of the happiness that you see in others and know that it is within you,
As what you see in others,
As simply reflection of your own inequalities.
Taking three deep breaths into your body,
Gently invite yourself back into the present Feeling your body softly awakening into the day.
Giving your hips a gentle sway and allow the energy to glide up and down your body,
Filling your hands,
Fingers,
Feet and toes with movement.
Grounding yourself into this moment,
Into your physical body,
Into this day.
Go gently today.
Be kind to yourself.
Be mindful today.

Another great meditation from Jase. Although it does say "for the feminine," I found that I identified with every word. Gay men, like myself, have many of the same issues with body dismorphia and in some studies, we actually have higher rates of mental disorders around eating than women. It's not as discussed (or properly studied or reported) as anorexia, bulimia, and body dismorphia in women. But it has been a constant struggle with me for over 30 years! Reassurance through meditation and therapy help me to gain some control back, and having these tools are essential for me to stay healthy, work on finding and feeling happiness within, and help me to act (or react) in appropriate, considerate ways.
