This is Podma Gordon and this podcast is called Living from the Heart.
And today I wanted to talk to you about droplets of goodness.
I've been really reflecting on this a lot lately and how important it is when we have these moments of goodness,
Of particular and particular awareness of beauty.
Like I live here in California and I'm fortunate that we don't have any fires burning right here and we do have smoke and it's been really challenging.
And when the air clears with the wind like it did the other day,
It was like this profound moment of gratitude and celebration and appreciation for the fresh air and the blue sky.
Clean air to breathe is something that is so easily taken for granted and yet lately when the air is clean and clear,
I am very thankful.
And that clean air and that recognition and gratitude for the clean air is a moment of celebration.
And when we experience these moments of celebration for the little things in life,
That goes into our bank account of droplets of goodness.
So that's what this meditation is going to focus on.
So I'd like you to make yourself really comfortable.
Arrange your body so that it is at ease.
At ease.
Just letting go.
Letting everything settle down.
Sinking into your seat wherever your body is resting.
You are taking this time to be with yourself.
I'd like you to take some really generous breaths.
Easeful,
Generous breaths.
And feel how the air is moving through your body.
Oxygenating your cells.
Maybe you can even sense how your cells are smiling.
Take your time.
Take your time.
Breathe.
Fresh air is such a gift.
That's right.
Just noticing your breathing is an invitation to relax and let go.
You can relax and let go and trust that I'm holding the space.
And that we are here together with so many others all across the world.
Coming together in community to meditate.
So let's take another breath.
Soften around your eyes.
And soften around your eyes.
Let your eyeballs rest into their sockets.
And I'd like you to imagine something that makes you smile.
Something or someone.
Or some place.
And really let yourself see it.
Feel it.
And now let that get even stronger.
Imagine if the goodness of that experience could be multiplied 10 times.
20 times.
And just notice if it's making you smile.
Perhaps it's a little smile or a smile that fills your whole face and radiates out into the room.
And radiates in to your whole body.
To every fiber of your being.
This is nourishment.
Nourishment for your heart,
My friend.
So let us just sit together for a little while.
And be nourished.
Let this nourishment,
These droplets of goodness,
Find their way in.
They are intelligent.
They know just where to go.
Into those places that are calling for goodness.
Take your time.
So yes,
Just like that.
And I want to invite you to take time in your life to really receive these droplets of goodness as they occur,
As they appear.
