Take a moment to get really comfy,
Soften your shoulders,
Unclench your jaw and just arrive in this space.
Close your eyes and take a slow deep breath in through your nose and gently release it through your mouth.
Just do that one more time,
Breathing in through your nose and breathing out through your mouth.
Just allow your breath to bring you fully into your body,
There is nowhere you need to be right now,
Nothing you need to solve,
Just be in this moment.
Feel the weight of your body supported beneath you,
Notice that you are being held,
The ground beneath you is steady and reliable,
It asks nothing of you and yet it supports you completely.
Allow your hands to rest easily and just let your breath return to its natural rhythm.
Bring your awareness to the centre of your chest,
Just noticing this space,
Not trying to create any sort of feeling,
Not trying to change anything,
Simply becoming aware of yourself.
At some point in our lives,
Most of us ask the question,
Why am I here?
What am I meant to be doing with my life?
What is my purpose?
These questions do not come up by accident.
They come up because there is something within you that already knows there is more.
In the Vedic tradition,
This deeper purpose is known as your Dharma,
Your soul purpose.
Your Dharma is your truth,
It is your natural expression,
It is not something outside of you and it is not something you achieve,
It is something you remember,
It is who you are when you stop trying to be who you think you should be.
When you are living in alignment with your Dharma,
There is a sense of honesty,
Of peace,
Of deep understanding,
A sense that your life belongs to you and that you belong to your life.
A sense that even when things are uncertain,
You are not lost because you are connected to yourself.
Often we move away from our Dharma gradually,
Through conditioning,
Through expectation,
Through fear,
Through forgetting,
Through trying to be the version of ourselves we believe will be accepted.
And over time we can begin to feel disconnected,
Confused,
Unaligned.
And that is not because our Dharma has disappeared,
But because we have stopped listening to it.
This practice is an opportunity to listen again.
Take a few deep grounding breaths,
Really let go as much as you can,
Allow yourself to be fully present here while I guide you.
I want you to imagine that you are standing on a path.
You are alone and there is a real sense of peace here,
A sense of space.
The air is clear,
The ground beneath you feels steady and supportive.
Try to connect to all of your senses.
What can you see?
What can you smell?
What can you hear?
This path you are standing on represents your life.
Notice what it feels like to stand here.
Notice your breath.
Notice how your body feels here.
Notice what thoughts are coming to mind here.
In the distance,
You see someone walking towards you.
At first it just looks like a figure,
Moving calmly,
Slowly.
There is no rush or urgency with how they are moving.
As they come closer,
You begin to recognize something about them.
This person is you.
This is you in the future.
This is you living in alignment with your dharma.
Just notice how they hold themselves.
There is a calmness within them.
They are not rushing,
They are not doubting themselves.
They are not trying to become someone.
They are simply being themselves.
You can really tell that they trust themselves.
They trust their dharma.
They trust their path.
And they are now standing in front of you.
Take a moment to really look at your future self.
Notice their face.
Their eyes.
Notice the clarity that is in their eyes.
It's a quiet knowing.
This version of you has learnt to trust themselves.
They have learnt to live in alignment with what feels true.
And you now notice that they are looking at you with total compassion.
With kindness.
With love.
There is no judgement,
There is no disappointment.
There is just understanding.
Peace.
Happiness.
Silently ask them now.
What do I need to know about my purpose?
What can you tell me about my dharma?
And I just want you to listen.
And you may receive words,
You might receive images.
You may receive a feeling.
Or it may be as subtle as feeling something shift inside you.
Just listen.
And trust whatever arises.
This future version of you is showing you what is possible when you live in alignment with yourself.
When you stop abandoning yourself.
When you begin to honour your dharma.
Allow yourself to step forward and step inside.
Step into the future version of yourself.
As if you are stepping into your own body.
Feel yourself becoming this version of you.
Notice what shifts.
Notice your breath.
Notice your chest.
Notice your stomach.
Notice the sense of steadiness that exists here.
This is not something that you need to earn.
This is your dharma.
And this has always existed within you.
So from this place begin to walk forward on your path.
Notice how it feels to move through the world in alignment with your dharma.
Notice how you carry yourself.
Notice the quiet confidence within you.
Notice the trust.
And I want to explain something that I think is quite important for you to understand.
This version of you did not arrive through one big moment.
They arrived through small honest choices.
Through choosing what felt true.
Through listening to themselves.
Through being willing to honour their dharma even when it felt uncomfortable.
Even when it felt really hard.
Even when it felt confusing because the path was not very clear.
Your dharma is not something you wait for.
It is something you live.
And it lives through your actions.
So from this place ask yourself one clear question now.
What is one action I am ready to take to honour my purpose?
Just one action.
Really listen to yourself.
And trust whatever comes up.
Notice how it feels in your body when you acknowledge this action.
This is how your dharma speaks to you.
Not through force.
But through truth.
Through your intuition.
And I am going to ask you now to make a quiet commitment to yourself.
A commitment that you will honour this.
That you will stop postponing what you already know.
That you will trust yourself enough to take this step.
Take a slow deep breath in.
And as you breathe out.
Allow that commitment to settle into your body.
Feel it anchoring within you.
Feel it becoming part of you.
Remember your dharma is not something you need to find.
It is something you need to remember.
Your dharma is something you need to live.
It reveals itself one step at a time.
One choice at a time.
One moment at a time.
We are going to leave the path now.
And I am going to ask you to come back to the space you are in.
You can deepen your breath.
And gently bring your awareness back to your physical body.
Feel the ground beneath you.
Feel the room around you.
And bring one hand to your heart.
And really acknowledge yourself.
Acknowledge your dharma.
Acknowledge your willingness to listen.
And I want you to know that when you finish this practice.
Your only role is to take that one step.
To move in the direction of what feels true.
Whenever you feel ready you can gently open your eyes.
Thank you very much for meditating with me today.
It has been an absolute pleasure to guide you through this practice.
