This practice creates space for reflection, clarity, and peace, and you’ll finish feeling rooted and supported by the steady energy of Capricorn.

Welcome to this guided meditation for the full moon in a Capricorn.

Find a really comfy position,

Preferably seated with your back straight,

But you can lie down if that feels better for you,

And very gently close your eyes.

Bring your attention to your breath and notice the rise and fall,

The in and out.

Do a brief body scan and try to release any tension you might be holding,

Maybe in your jaw,

Your shoulders,

Your belly,

Your hands.

If you do feel any tension,

Just breathe into that space.

You are safe,

Supported and seen here,

And you can let go fully.

The July full moon is known as the Buck Moon because it's the time of year when male deer or bucks begin to grow their new antlers.

This symbolises regeneration,

Strength and natural cycles of growth.

The full moon is a time of illumination.

This energy,

If we tap into it,

Can help us see things clearly.

Capricorn reminds us of reliability and determination.

The sign is represented by a goat,

Who moves with purpose,

Step by step.

This is a visual we can use when we think of our long-term vision,

Our responsibilities and the foundations we need in place to move forward in life with intention,

Step by step.

Take a deep breath in before we start the visualisation and exhale out slowly.

Do that one more time.

Imagine yourself standing at the base of a beautiful vast mountain.

It is solid,

It is strong,

It is still.

The sky above is clear and the full moon is high,

Casting a soft silvery light across the landscape.

Just take it all in.

Imagine what you can see,

Smell and hear at the base of this mountain.

You begin to walk slowly upwards,

One step at a time.

Feel your feet grounding into the earth with every step.

Each step is steady and intentional.

You feel strong as you walk.

You know that by walking with intention,

On this mountain and in life,

You will reach your goal.

As you climb,

You start to feel clearer.

It is as if each step is helping you let go of something you no longer need to carry.

This might be expectations or self-doubt.

Maybe perfectionism or maybe pressure you put on yourself.

Eventually you reach a quiet ledge.

There is a fire waiting there for you,

Which is gentle and warm.

This is a sacred fire of release and you are going to use it today to let go of something that feels too heavy to carry.

Look up at the beautiful full moon in the sky.

Feel its light enter your whole being,

From the top of your head to your feet.

This light is going to give you clarity and help you to tune in to what you're ready to let go of.

Maybe a pattern,

A thought,

A limiting belief,

A habit,

A fear,

A situation.

Something that's been weighing you down or holding you back.

I'm going to give you a moment to get really clear on what you would like to let go of on this mountain.

Come back to this space now and picture what it is that you are going to release very clearly.

You can imagine writing it down on a piece of paper or speak it out loud,

Whatever works best for you.

Visualise yourself offering what you are letting go of into the fire.

Watch as it burns and transforms into smoke,

Rising into the night,

Rising into the moonlight and leaving you feeling lighter,

Clearer,

Calmer.

Now sit beside the fire and just take a moment to reflect.

What matters most to you right now?

Which areas of your life are asking for more structure?

Are there any that are asking to be simplified?

Maybe there is something that is asking to be nurtured more.

This full moon is here to help you to get really clear,

To simplify,

To shed,

To get really honest about what's working and what isn't.

Capricorn's energy reminds us that when we know our priorities,

We can direct our energy with purpose.

Take a few more deep breaths here,

Just allowing these reflections to settle in your body.

You don't need to figure anything out right now.

I just want you to notice what's coming up and to trust it.

Now with the light of the full moon above you,

I want you to visualise placing one intention into your heart centre,

Into your chest.

Something simple and clear to carry with you into this next phase.

A value,

A boundary,

A commitment to yourself.

If you like you can place your hand on your heart and really let this intention settle in that area and then feel it move throughout your entire body.

Gently begin to make your way back down the mountain path now,

Walking with a sense of clarity,

A sense of release,

A sense of freedom.

Start to bring your awareness back to your breath now,

To your body,

To the space you're in.

And whenever you feel ready you can gently open your eyes.

I would encourage you to take some time now to write down what came to you during this practice.

And you may even want to burn what you let go of in your own ceremony.

I hope this energy of the full moon in Capricorn guides you to stand tall,

Move steadily,

And choose what really supports your growth.
