Take a moment to settle in by finding a really comfy position and gently closing your eyes.

Begin by taking a few deep breaths.

Inhale slowly,

Hold for a moment,

And then exhale,

Letting go of any tension you're holding.

With each breath,

Feel yourself relaxing deeper into this present moment as you prepare for this full moon meditation.

This is the first full moon of the year and we are under the guidance of Cancer,

Which is a deeply nurturing and intuitive sign.

Cancer,

Ruled by the moon itself,

Reminds us of the importance of emotional balance,

Self-care,

And the courage it takes to feel deeply.

This moon is often referred to as the wolf moon because wolves were traditionally heard howling more often during winter nights,

Symbolising strength and survival in harsh conditions.

Cancer invites us to embrace this strength,

But also to turn inward and connect with what truly matters,

Our emotional well-being and the relationships that nurture us.

Take a couple of really deep breaths now to ground yourself even more in this moment.

Bring your awareness to the light of the full moon.

You might have seen it today.

You might have felt it affecting your emotions or sleep in the past few days.

Maybe you just have had a sense of the full moon energy.

Whether you have been aware of it or not,

Imagine it now glowing above you,

Casting its soft,

Soothing light all around you.

This is a powerful light,

And it's inviting you to connect to your emotions with compassion and understanding.

It's also inviting you to release what no longer aligns with your well-being.

It's inviting you to let go.

Think back over the last year.

What could have been holding you back?

What are you ready to release so that you can spend this year with more clarity and freedom?

Maybe it's an old belief,

A habit,

A fear,

Or maybe a situation that you have been holding onto for far too long.

Take a moment to reflect.

Now bring to mind what you are ready to let go of.

Visualize this habit,

Belief,

Fear,

Or situation as something tangible.

Maybe a color,

A shape,

Or even an object inside you.

With each exhale,

Imagine it gently lifting out of your body.

Watch as it dissolves into the moonlight,

Fading completely,

Leaving you feeling lighter,

Freer,

And more aligned with yourself.

As you release,

Imagine standing under the moonlight,

Grounded under ease.

Feel your feet rooted into the earth,

Your heart open,

And your mind clear.

Each exhale is allowing you to let go of the weight that has been holding you back.

See it all fade into the moonlight.

Cancer's energy encourages you to honor your feelings and trust your intuition,

Allowing them to guide you toward emotional balance and strength.

By letting go,

You've opened space for growth,

New beginnings,

And the freedom to move forward with care and purpose.

As we come to the end of this meditation,

Place a hand over your heart.

Feel its warmth,

Its strength,

And its steady rhythm.

Let this connection to your heart be a sanctuary of care and intuition,

Somewhere where you feel held,

Supported,

And guided by your inner wisdom.

Your heart is your compass,

Gently leading you forward with authenticity and love.

Take this connection with you as you move through the year ahead,

Trusting in your strength and the wisdom of your heart.

Remember,

You are always supported by the nurturing energy of the moon and your own inner guidance.

When you feel ready,

Gently bring your awareness back to the space around you.

Move your fingers and toes,

Stretch your body,

And when it feels right,

Very slowly open your eyes.

Today,

You have taken a step toward releasing what no longer serves you,

And moved into alignment with your true self.
