So welcome everybody,
Close down your eyes and let's get comfortable for meditation.
Begin by taking a few deep breaths and just observing the seat that you've chosen or lying down position and making yourself even more comfortable so that there is less distraction for this meditation.
Keeping your eyes closed and awareness on your breath,
I'm going to invite you to explore the energy of awe today or perhaps you'd rather it be called wonder,
Magic.
I'm going with awe and the reason this feels really appropriate for me to share today is I was with my little person the other day and he was interested in space and it just got me thinking of how amazing our planet is,
How it is the perfect distance from the sun and how the sun feeds us with all this amazing golden energy and fuels our whole world but we are just that divine perfect awe-inspiring distance away for earth to be as magical and as abundant as it is.
I was genuinely like in this in this wow state as I was talking to him and that's the energy I want to bring into you today.
So as you start to breathe consider the power of your breath and how when we take this awareness of our breath into a wider spectrum,
The incredible energy that the trees bring to us through the light of the sun and this gift of giving back and forth to the trees between us and them and how every breath that we take into our system floods every one of ourselves providing us with life.
So as you now take these next breaths,
Welcome that energy into your body,
Seeing if you can take this breath deeper down into your system,
Feeling it move and expand into the back and side of the ribs,
Feeling your breath touch the inside of you that you can't personally reach and consider this energy of awe.
What is it in your own world,
Your own space that you can feel awe about?
So what's happened over the last couple of days which you can now look back on and go wow that happened.
So we are,
If you're doing this in real time with me,
It is the rumblings of spring.
There's so much life popping up all around us and as I was walking out today I saw a plant,
A flower that I've never seen before and so I was like wow how amazing is it that each year there is something new that captures my attention.
Perhaps you had a comment or compliment or saw someone you've not seen for a while.
Could be the sun rising or the sun setting but how does awe look and feel in your own world?
My little person helps me see awe continually through the day over big things and little things and considering now something perhaps you've achieved or witnessed through your eyes or physical experience that can help you to tap into this energy of awe.
Something perhaps you never thought you would accomplish or do,
Something you've seen,
Something you've created.
Look to re-uptake that experience,
That feeling again.
So as you breathe deeply now,
Look to experience this again.
Let yourselves,
Your body become alive with that experience.
Allowing for these memories to pass and now bringing a sense of awe to your taste buds and what is it that is your favourite meal to experience and how can you bring an element of awe to receiving this right now.
Is it something refreshing,
Rejuvenating,
Something wholesome?
Can you re-receive that and uptake that now?
And then bringing awe to your ears and considering your favourite song or favourite music or birds singing,
Whatever makes your spirit come alive.
Perhaps it's being set out on a balcony or a patio and taking in the sound of the birds and the air.
Or maybe it's your favourite song and dancing around with people around you or on your own.
How can you experience awe through the energy and experience of sound?
And then bringing awareness to your nose and what are the delights and awe-inspiring smells that you receive?
Is it a freshly cut grass of the rain after a dry spell?
Is it the smell of fresh bedding and laundry?
Perhaps it's baking in the oven.
Notice for me how all of these are starting to collectively come together.
That is something that is happening for you and how awe can be this overwhelming,
Incredible energy like that of me being in awe of our galaxy and universe.
But equally it can be in the simple things,
The sound of loved ones talking,
Laughing,
The sound of a stream,
The taste of an apple,
The feeling of your feet on the ground,
The feeling of the breath moving within you,
Of the sun kissing your face or even the welcoming of rain.
I'm going to leave you in silence for a few moments to generally explore this energy of awe in your life.
With this energy inside of yourself,
Just say in your mind,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you for all that you get to receive and experience,
For all that lights up your world and for this physical being and body that you get to house right now,
That you get to experience and explore it all with.

Feel down to your feet,
Through the bones of the legs and the pelvis,
Through the length of your spine,
Down the bones and the arms all the way to the fingers.
Feel the bones in the neck and the back of the head,
The sides of the head and the crown of the head.
Notice any sounds that you can hear in this moment,
Noticing how your mouth and the tongue feels,
The teeth feel and how the eyes gently rest in the back of the head,
In the back of the socket,
Not in the back of the head.
Place your hands directly on your heart right now and just take this next few breaths to commit to yourself,
To seeing awe in the rest of your day,
Maybe even taking this intention of experiencing and witnessing awe for the rest of the week.
Just seeing if it has any change to your attitude,
Change to how you see the world and change to your life.
When you are ready,
Feel for coming back into your space and opening your eyes,
Maybe taking that deep breath in and just letting it nourish your system.
