Hello and welcome,
Mama.
Thank you for joining me,
Victoria Louise,
To be your guide in this meditation.
For choosing me.
This meditation is to honour you and the mother that you have become.
The journey that you have been on.
This meditation is healing.
It allows you to find peace.
Maybe this is the first time you've had the chance to really think about yourself.
And that's okay,
Mama.
We have this amazing new bundle who is so vulnerable.
But for you to be at your best for your baby,
It's so important that we nourish you too.
So well done for being here.
Let's set in to our meditation and close your eyes.
Get comfortable lying down.
You deserve it.
Take a moment to start to breathe more deeply into your body.
Breathing in through the nose.
Filling up the sides of the ribs.
Filling up the belly.
Letting it out through the mouth.
Let's again breathe in deeply through the nose.
Feel the backs of the ribs and the belly rise.
And let it go with a sigh.
One more slow deep breath.
And let it all go.
Continue to breathe deeply.
Filling yourself up with that vital nourishment.
Feeling the jaw soften,
The brow soften.
Let the teeth part and the tongue become relaxed.
When we let go in our jaw,
We let go in our hips and our pelvic floor.
Let the shoulders relax.
And if there is any more tension in the body that you are aware of,
Let that go now.
And bring your hands to rest in your womb space.
The space that over the past nine months has been growing life,
Has created life.
And however the story unfolded for you,
However you became a mother,
Whether it was a natural birth,
An assisted delivery or a caesarian,
Breathe into your womb space.
Your body is wonderfully designed.
And you love it for everything that it has gifted you.
And it may be in this moment really difficult.
It may be hard to feel the love for this space.
And that's okay.
Keep breathing deeply into this space and if the tears fall,
Let them fall.
Breathe into this space and feel.
Feel the healing that you can gift yourself.
Breathing in light and love up through the vulva,
Through the pelvic floor and the perineum,
The birth canal.
Breathing up through this area regardless of what birth you had.
Our body has gone through so much change that this works for all of us.
Breathing in love and healing.
If at time of birth you suffered any trauma,
Feel and breathe.
Visualise that area knitting together and healing beautifully.
Your mind has the power to heal.
Feel the love and energy into your womb space.
Give thanks for the wonderful job it has done for you.
And know that you are an amazingly strong mumma.
We birth,
However we birth,
We birth with power.
We birth the mother.
The transformation of birth is the way it is to give us the strength,
To show us our strength.
To teach us acceptance.
To teach us our capabilities.
To teach us to let go and to surrender.
You are one powerful mumma.
Keep breathing into your womb space.
Feel that creative power within you,
That energy rising.
Fill yourself with love and the love that you have for your newborn child.
It's so easy to give it out,
Can you give that love back to you?
Breathing in peace,
Releasing anguish.
Breathing in love and releasing shame.
Breathing in peace and releasing guilt.
Breathing love in and breathing love out.
Be with your body for the next few moments.
Acknowledging how you feel or if there's anything else that you want to tell yourself.
As you breathe in now,
Visualize the light that was in your womb spreading through the whole of your body,
Healing you fully and completely.
Up through the abdomen.
Helping bring your abdomen back together.
Breathing this light up through the back.
Over your heart and into the shoulders.
Breathing the light up through the neck and face.
And both of your arms and both of your legs.
Feel cocooned in this healing light.
And if baby happens to be near you or on you,
Allow for them to be encased in this healing light too.
Let it permeate through each of your cells.
And you can stay here in this loving cocoon.
Maybe allowing yourself to drift to sleep.
Or if you do need to rise,
Start to welcome yourself back to your surroundings.
And bring this light back into the space around you.
Thank you for being here mama,
For doing your best,
For doing the work and healing yourself.
Namaste.
