Welcome.
In this meditation,
We drop into directly experiencing the subtle energy of aliveness within the body as the vital force of consciousness arising within us and all around us and that we are never separate from.
Now it's really important to prepare your body for this practice.
Ensure that you are in a quiet place for meditation and that you are in a comfortable seat at a good height or on a proper meditation cushion.
Check in with your posture.
You want to establish a posture that is conducive to awake,
Alert meditation.
This feels like sitting where you might imagine a string attached to the top of your head pulling you gently upright.
Gently close your eyes and bring to mind your intention for this meditation,
Whatever that may be.
Carefully reflect on why this meditation is important to you.
Why have you set aside this precious time for your practice and firmly establish this intention in your mind.
Now feel into your body.
Feel the weight of your feet on the floor and the weight of your body in the chair or on your cushion.
Notice and feel how the ground is supporting you.
Find a note of gratitude for the stability of the ground.
Sense into your body and allow it to relax your shoulders,
Your hips,
Your legs,
Your eyes,
Your cheeks,
Your jaw,
Your tongue.
Allow each of these to relax.
And if you can make any adjustment to be just 1% more comfortable,
Do that now.
Imagine that you are sitting in a pool of golden warm light that illuminates and recharges all your cells because you are an electric body made of light.
You are the universe in ecstatic motion.
As you feel into your body,
Begin to notice your breath.
Take several long slow breaths.
Just notice the subtle expansion and contraction of your breath.
Taking in divine light and love on the inhale and releasing any stored tension or stress on the exhale.
Feel the breath as consciousness in form,
In motion.
You are not an accident.
Consciousness wants to be here,
Wants to express through you.
Awakening or enlightenment or transcendence doesn't mean we escape from being in a human body.
It means we get to express who we are in form.
It's a great gift that we are given.
Feel yourself embracing that gift.
Lay down the feeling of it being a burden,
Being here.
Or something that you have to work for or try or do.
But you can let all of that go and instead just revel in the magic of consciousness in form.
Like a dolphin swimming and playing in the waves,
You are at play in the flow of the universe.
Feel how you can allow this to come alive.
This magic through you.
There isn't anything to escape when you see that the magic is already here.
Your great gift is to collaborate with this creative flow of consciousness.
So feel into your body now and feel this movement of consciousness as it is coming alive in your own body.
Maybe you feel sensations on your skin,
Vibrations within your body,
Within your feet,
Hands,
Torso,
Head,
This subtle aliveness dancing within you.
This vital force coming alive and rising within you.
Notice that you don't need to do anything to make this happen.
It's already here always.
You just didn't notice it.
But now you are turning your attention inward to very much notice and feel.
But now you are turning your attention inward to feel this aliveness within you.
This is you.
You are the answer to divine force,
Life force,
Or some might call it even God's expression manifest.
There was a call and your life is the response.
Turn your attention to your heart space.
This is the area located in the back of your heart,
A little bit to the right.
Feel this alive awakeness emanating from your heart.
Maybe you feel a subtle glow of bliss or joy or just warmth.
Whatever you feel is perfect for you now.
Give thanks for this open hearted heart mind that is you.
And then allow yourself to become aware of your community,
A community of loved ones in your life,
Family,
Friends,
Pets.
And just imagine that you are all standing in a circle facing each other.
Maybe it's a small circle.
Maybe it's a larger circle.
Whatever it is,
It's perfect for you.
And at the center is a glowing orb of light touching you and connecting you.
And imagine that behind you is every other person,
Animal,
And plant on the earth.
And you radiate love to all of them.
And behind them,
Other worlds,
Other planets,
Other galaxies.
And just feel how there is one unified consciousness of unconditional love,
An interconnected field of all life.
Just allow yourself to marinate in this sense of no separation,
Being connected to all life in one unified field of unconditional love.
The great poet Rumi said,
The universe is not outside of you.
Look inside yourself.
Everything that you want,
You already are.
There is nowhere to go.
There is no other moment than now.
Just now.
You fully landed in this moment.
All the power that ever was or will be is here now.
You are that.
When you are ready,
Gently open your eyes a crack at a time.
Like a child viewing the temple for the very first time from this open-hearted awareness.
See if you can retain this inward gaze while you look out with soft,
Gentle eyes in this new way of seeing with eyes of open-hearted awareness.
Also,
Take a moment to reflect on your meditation and write down or record anything that is important to remember from this experience.
This will help you see how your practice develops over time.
My sincerest wish is that this meditation helps you remain connected to open-hearted awareness and to become more awake,
More aware,
And more kind.
To know that you are never separate.
To know that you are fully supported in all that you do.
