Meditation on Being Human Sit in front of a mirror.

Take several breaths and look into your own eyes.

Look in every part of your face and body.

Set your intent to connect with the gift and mystery of being human.

Close your eyes and breathe freely and deeply.

Ask for guidance from the higher force of your understanding to support you in this process.

Open your eyes.

Look into your eyes and continue gazing for several breaths.

Ask yourself the following questions.

Take your time with each one.

If you do not have an answer,

Become comfortable with not knowing.

When I say I,

What do I mean?

What do I really know about being me?

How would I act if I took away the fear of punishment and abandonment?

Remain present with your feelings and all that arises within your experience.

When I say I,

What do I really know about being me?

Close your eyes and allow your breath and body to relax.

Let the questions float around your mind and slowly fade away.

When you feel complete with your meditation,

Open your eyes and look once more into the mirror.

Bring your hands to your heart and bow to yourself in gratitude.

Feel a place in your body that somehow represents this journey.

Remember that through the wisdom of your body,

You can reconnect to this experience at any time.

Once you are ready,

I invite you to take the time to journal,

Draw,

Sing,

Play music,

Dance,

Anything that allows you to integrate your insight and continue to allow the flow of energy throughout your body-mind.

Namaste.

Namaste.
