Sovereignty, in a spiritual sense, means connection to the self and believing the inner guide. It can also be defined as the ability to hold compassion for authority in our internal world. This 5-minute meditation is deeply fulfilling in a short amount of time. We use chant and authentic reflection to reclaim our power with the utmost reverence and humility.

Transcript

Humble sovereignty,

Embracing our own authority with a tender heart.

In assertiveness,

We build up a shield of protection to keep us safe.

In vulnerability,

We keep our sense of power and direction aligned.

This authority over ourselves has no limitations,

Yet it is not to be feared.

Each one of us has the innate ability to reign over ourselves.

It doesn't require any special knowledge or skill to believe in this power.

It's childlike and it's curious,

Yet it welcomes receptiveness and an open heart.

Today,

We ground ourselves in this strength,

Letting go of any insecurity or unbelief,

And lean into chant with the mantra of protection.

Take a deep breath in through the nose and a long,

Slow,

Deep exhale through the mouth.

With the eyes closed,

Place both hands on the ground.

Feel into the energy of Mother Earth.

Listen to what she has to say.

Become fully aware of the room that you're in.

Lean into its presence.

Then bring the same awareness to yourself.

What does your energy feel like if you had to put it into a word?

What is your body trying to tell you?

Perhaps resistant,

Tense,

Or even open and expansive.

Just simply give it a name and try to lean into that feeling.

Acknowledge it and then let it go.

Chant quietly and methodically aloud the word OM.

This sacred sound will raise your awareness and higher your vibration.

Let it reverberate through your body,

Connecting it to the breath.

We will inhale to prepare and repeat OM five times through.

Then I'll let you finish on your own a few sets.

Inhale to prepare.

OM OM OM OM OM Continue chanting OM a few times through.

Now check in with your body.

How does it feel?

Do you notice a subtle flow of blood pulsating throughout?

Perhaps a newfound warmth or a tingling sensation?

Embrace this feeling as we end the practice today.

We became aware of our own endless inner power today.

We found solace in our strength.

Continue to harness that power in you.

Go in peace.
